  1. Ok, I'll admit it I am the dummy lol. I still don't really understand how to book Chef's Table:confused:. Can anyone explain as simply as possible (yes I am stunned:p) how to go about doing this. Much appreciated thanks:D

Oh and FYI we are on the Breeze at the end of July (is it possible this experience is already sold out?)

Email Eventplanning@carnival.com. You will need your name, sail date and booking number. They will email you back.

  2. thanks for the reply...is the bracelet removable so that you don't have to wear it all the time? i am hoping thats the case but hubby says probably not because they wouldn't be able to control passengers lending it to non spa cabin guests. sure would like to be right about this ;)

We were on the Breeze last June. We didn't have a sticker but we had bracelets. Yes our was removable. You have to show your S&S card everytime.

  3. Thank you! This will be my 4th time in Nassau and looking for something new to do.

Sent from my iPhone using the Cruise Critic App

I was there last June. It is a very nice place. We enjoyed it. Everything was nice. The food is on the high side. You will need to catch a cab or take the #10 jitney bus. We cab there and jitney back. If you take the jitney back be sure to leave at lease an hour before you have to be back on the ship. If you do take the jitney have correct change. I think the price was $1.25. Enjoy your cruise.

  4. Thanks kamac56. I have heard this too. My older (adult) son has a separate room but we have him on our credit card and he checks in with us ( and unfortunately stays on the credit card).

My dad is funny and likes to have everything all set up before hand and going to guest services and switching cards would not work well with him. He would just insist on going it alone through security before doing that! I just wondered if any one has seen the lines at Tampa and if the platinum and FTTF are together or if the port people would let us stay together - at least through security. I thought the FTTF purchase might allow all of us to stay in the priority line together without too much fuss.

The FTTF line will be behind the Platinum line. You can go back in line and sit with them and board the ship when the FTTF is call to board. The FTTF is not allowed to sit in your Platinum line so they cannot board when the Platinum guests is call to board.

  5. We just returned from what was supposed to be a relaxing cruise in a Cloud 9 Spa cabin on the Dream that left us tired and worn out. For 7 days there was constant loud banging and rattling of the walls and ceiling from about 5:30AM to 11:00Pm. This was not a minor noise and the type of ear plugs I used to use around heavy machinery didn't make any difference. Frequently throughout the day and night the beds, walls, and ceiling would even shake while we were trying to rest. We were in an inside cabin so the back wall of the cabins were facing the restricted crew areas and above us was the gym steam rooms, and mens and womens lockers.

Just so the cheerleaders don't think this was a minor isolated problem we talked to neighbors in a few of the other Cloud 9 cabins who were also upset about the same chronic problems in their cabins. We all spoke to Guest Services and they were able to reduce (not stop) the banging but only for a short while and only for one day.

The main purpose of the cruise was to spend our time relaxing in a quiet region of the ship and use the T-pool, steam rooms, and relaxation rooms. We even scheduled and paid for a Cloud 9 Spa cabin cruise in Feb on the Dream for the same reason before it leaves for New Orleans. We have cruised on the Dream a few times before, although not in a Cloud 9 cabin, and never had this problem. Now we are not sure we want to return for a noisy week of banging walls and ceiling while we try to sleep each night.

Has anyone in an inside Cloud 9 Spa cabin on the Dream had this problem before?

    Cheers!

What cabin were you guys in?

  6. Solo Cruiser here . Hello everyone. I will be dreaming on the Dream. Anyone else on the Dream June 15, 2014. Our roll call is slow but I am looking for it to pick up as the time draw near. I hope our plans pan out on our cruise. Stop by and holla at us:D.

  7. Wow im retarded . Let me clear it up. Were on the splendor and were going to be in nassau and decided to do the sheraton day pass. Once i get off the ship i get anxiety about where to go. Give me good directions please

You can take a cab or catch the jitney bus once you get off the ship. Go thru the shopping area and you will find all the cabs and buses. I think the cab cost $20.00 for 4 and the jitney bus is $1.00 or $2.00 a person one way to the Sheration. Remember the cabs are a lot faster. The jitney have pick up spots all along the way.

  8. Just got home from cruise on Elation and noted that muster is longer and more involved than before. Our station was in the theater...so they did the normal life jacket and emergency instructions...but then they had the entire group get up and go outside to the actual lifeboats and stand! It took maybe 2.5 times longer than normal. It still wasn't that bad for us, but I'm guessing the people who had outside stations with no chairs weren't too happy. Just a heads up for what to expect after the last bunch of catastrophes.

It was the same way on my March 9, cruise on the Elation:eek:.

  9. I reserved our first-ever Chef's Table for our June 1 Elation sailing. It happens the Chef's table on that sailing falls on our 37th anniversary, so seemed 'destined to be'. I dealt directly with the MD on board "Stan the Man" (for anyone who has been on Elation since Stan took over). He was wonderfully cooperative.

I imagined it was probably a good choice..........but I have to say this review and those pictures NAILED IT for me.

    Now I can't wait.

I fully understand they are in the midst of a menu rotation, and in fact Stan could not confirm which menu they would be serving on Elation by the time we sail, but the experience makes the meal.

Thank you so SO very much for investing all the time, energy and passion to make your review POP!!

And congrats on being a lovely couple from an old, Southern, conservative Cajun.

    Love is hard to find.

    Relish it!:)

I did the Chef's Table on the Elation this past March 4th sailing. It was ok. The food portions are very small. The wine is very plentful if you like to drink. I think it a little over price. The over all experience was great. The Steakhouse on Carnival Ships are way better to me, plus $40.00 cheaper.
