Going to Cruise Next has worked well for me. When I was on the Prima last February, I couldn't get any dinning or shows which was a bummer. The Cruise Next people were able to get me reservations. Same when I was on the Sky in November for dining. Just get to the desk a few minutes before they open!

I used to LOVE the hash browns. They were nowhere to be found on The Sky on 10/15/23 😞

It doesn't seem like it but I really hope the tweak the layout. I didn't care for the layout of the Prima at all. I'm excited to follow along with this thread.

I don't think you have many options. You can go to the Great Outdoors pretty late and get water. Keep in mind that the Great Outdoors is where they cook the food for The Local. You can also go up to the bar in the local if you want water. Not really sure about fruit. Maybe room service.

On the first 7 day sailing out of NYC on The Breakaway we received the coffee table book, a letter and a tote bag.

Booking on Escape for our first ever NCL cruise 5/2016. Going to be our younger son's homeschool graduation extravaganza. We're actually going to book back-to-back. I've sailed Disney 11x, RCI Allure 1x. Not new to cruising but fresh to NCL.

 

I would love to book us in The Haven. I think the concierge and assistance with planning would be most helpful with us being new to NCL. BUT, I'm looking at the price of the aft Haven suite vs. 2 staterooms (balcony + inside across the hall). I'm not sure I'm willing to go the 2 bedroom family Haven suite. Am I looking at the sleeping configuration of the aft Haven suite correct? It's a king size bed + a sofa bed to sleep 2? Or is there another bed available in addition to the sofa bed? The bed thing is the deal breaker. I cannot put my 2 sons (20 & 18 at the time of sailing) on 1 sofa bed. It'd be war in our suite. LOL!

 

I'm probably going to blow up the NCL board with questions. I promise to do searches and seek answers before asking. ;)

SWEETPEA... from WDWMAGIC and Magicaltalk? Is that you??? On Cruisecritic? Hey!!! I'm A long time lurker on those other sites. I think you will love the Escape and the Haven. Totally different from DCL but still really good. The Haven is pricey but amazing! What made you consider taking NCL?

I don't so much miss lobster night but I do miss lobster being a part of the Land and Sea combo at Teppanyaki. I prefer it to the shrimp.

Just booked, CAT MA November 14th UBP. So excited! Haven't been on Norwegian in a while and I miss it. When do we find out the different prices of the specialty restaurants? I can't seem to access it on the NCL site.

I just got off the Breeze this Sunday. My flight left FT Lauderdale at 11:30 am and I made it with plenty of time. I was off the ship by 7:30 so I could have easily made a 10am flight departing MIA. I actually could have been off the ship earlier still but they were a few minutes late letting us off. I personally wouldn't have a problem booking an early flight but just be aware that there is always the possibility that something could happen and hold you up or keep you on the ship longer than you expected.

Okay I know I am super late. I just finished reading your review and it was fabulous!!!! You ladies know how to travel. I love all the pictures and the way you use them to tell the story of your vacation. It makes me want to stop procrastinating and read write the review for my last cruise. Your pictures also make me want to head to Fort Lauderdale for Thanksgiving. The Allure is an amazing ship, I know you are going to love it.
