Correct, tickets can be purchased from the ticket office right by the train. There is an info booth at the top of the escalators etc in the arrivals hall also if you need to ask questions.

Reduced timetables on weekends but still very regular. What date do you arrive so we can check if there is track work on or not.

We will be arriving at 6:20am on a Saturday morning. Is there reduced train service on the weekends? It would take a while to clear customs, get our bags, and get to the train I would think. I am assuming that we would just buy the tickets right near the train, is that right?

We will be staying at the YHA in the Rocks. Would the train work for us? Is there a Sky Bus also? I think the train would be cheaper and we would rather take it if we can.

I am wondering how many cruise critic folks have stayed at this place in a private double room? Wondering about cleanliness mostly.

 

We have a budget hotel booked that was getting very good reviews but recent ones have suggested that things are going downhill there and now we are only 1 1/2 months from departure and other hotels are very expensive.

 

Could this YHA be a good option?

We booked there for 6 nights because of the ratings on Booking.com and TripAdvisor. It looks like a great location and the price is great too.

What's up - guess it's because of time of year - the Christmas crazies ugh !!

 

Can't wait until it's all over and we are finally sailing away to Bora Bora.

I really appreciate all the time that you have put in to make our map and all the help that you have given about Australia. My friend Barbara and I are going to arrive about 10 days before the cruise. We are thinking of spending time in Sydney and Melbourne and then going to the outback or maybe The Great Barrier Reef.
