I completely agree. I was hoping for an announcement like RCI who seems to actually understand the seriousness of the situation and values their customers and the health of everyone. I was hoping to get a FCC that we could use next March. We are scheduled 3/21 and this will be our first and last MSC cruise. We’re going back to RCI after this. I also haven’t gotten any communication from them about this trip except for upgrade offers. I’m deeply disappointed and regret that I gave MSC a chance.
Sent from my iPhone using ForumsI called yesterday and she said they had to make the decision with the head office. Bit did offer to move my cruise which is April to another date but I am on just a Teo night one and they don’t do many of them so be difficult as I am a teacher so chose this date as in school time off
I need a refund really or my money is locked up like thousands Mines not big money compared to lots of people but I agree a refund should be given

We are on MSC on 26th March. The itinerary includes three Italian ports, what’s the point. Italy is now on total lockdown. I was expecting them to reroute the ship, but so far nothing. If we cancel, no refund, can move to a later date. The FCO haven’t put up a full restriction to Italy, so no refund from insurance company. Our cruise starts in Barcelona, so airlines aren’t interested in changing tickets. All a bit of a mess really. Anyway main thing is we stay safe, but would like money back.
Similar situation in April but told can move. I’m holding on to see what they do

I called Msc Uk today as we have a short cruise Barcelona to Genoa in April they said In light of today’s new restrictions they may pull out of Italian ports
we were told we can if March and April sailing , change pospone free of charge but they will announce changes as soon as poss
they were I have to say extremity understanding and helpful but as was so soon they hadn’t had plans or decisions from Head office
we don’t want to risk getting off in Genoa really

We are due to sail Barcelona to Genoa on 4 April.
I’m a teacher and I look after my nephew who is only 8 months.
I have been worried only about getting off and out of northern Italy and am so confused with the US MSC saying they won’t let anyone board who has travelled in Italy and yet they will be embarking and disembarking in Genoa !
I booked with UK, they don’t mention this at all !
surely the same rules should applyin light of the latest news , I’m concerned as getting home is my concern and not then having to self quarantine
thanks for updates on experiences u

Hi Mary
Hope you are having a great cruise and are managing to keep Lisa & Jules in order !!!! Wished we could have met up again on this cruise but we could not make it work. Love From Julie & Andrew UK xx
We were well behaved. NOT. We had a ball but missed you guys. Mary is a star shining everyday of the cruise.
We just love her . Xx

Hi Garry!
But I'm going to be using the life jacket basket as a footrest (thanks to a great idea on another thread) on my large balcony which doesn't come with footrests!
Given the strange things we've found under the beds over the years, I don't think I'd be comfortable storing my clean clothes there. I've noticed when I pull my suitcases out, they are covered with fuzz and dust. Just a thought.
Footrest idea is great for me. I love feet up and this will be ideal as have a sun veranda large balcony.
