What do you want to stick up? Scenic is paper free.
GREAT question! I have always wondered what magnets are for.

We're doing 2 US land tours with Tauck in 2022 then the 45 night Amawaterways cruise in 2023.

Their travel advisory as of March 16.
APPLICABLE FOR SAILINGS THROUGH MAY 31, 2021*
We are continuously monitoring the updates from global health authorities and local governments in the U.S. and around the world with regards to the ongoing situation. At this time, we have extended suspensions for river cruise sailings embarking through May 31, 2021.*

I got the email that was sent to past Ama cruisers regarding the 46 night cruise and sent it to my TA. She took it from there.

My TA Booked it. They’ve already added another 45 night for April 2023. That’s the one I chose.

All tours cancelled through August 31, 2020 plus new refund policies.

British Airways cancelled my flight from London to Istanbul scheduled for May 21. My TA had to complete a form requesting a refund, which
I received in about a week.

I’m also taking the 115% FCC. I did have the option of cash, but their offer is one of the best. There’s no question I’m going again when possible.

Here is part of their 3/20 update (which gets reworded daily):
” Upon the expiration of the FCC on December 31, 2022, guests unable to use their FCC may ask for a refund equal to the original amount paid to AmaWaterways. Standard AmaWaterways Cancellation Policy and other restrictions will apply to the FCC. These conditions are subject to change or withdrawal at any time. CST#2065452-20.”
Note the new wording at the end “These conditions are subject to change or withdrawal at any time. CST#2065452-20.”
BTW - here is Tauck’s current policy...
If Tauck cancels your journey: Guests booked on a trip where cancellation is initiated by Tauck will have all tour/cruise costs returned in the original form of payment. (Any Guest Protection Product/Cruise Protection Product premiums will be kept on account by Tauck for future use.) For guests with Tauck-booked air, Tauck will cover all airline change fees. For guests with non-Tauck air, Tauck will cover airline change fees up to $250 per person
Amawaterways really needs to add this option to be competitive and retain loyal customers. My May departure, which they cancelled, only offers FCC. ‘This would have been my 6th Ama Cruise.

We are taking the Amawaterways Grand Danube 14 night cruise in May 2020 with pre-cruise in Istanbul. Does anyone know what hotel Amawaterways uses in Istanbul?
Thanks

The Queen Isabel was built in 2013. It’s as nice of a river ship I have sailed on (7 cruises). We rafted next to Viking Hemming and the ships were identical except for the unique Viking bow design from their long ships. Both were built be the same shipyard. The only Uniworld employee was the cruise manager.

Plans changed. Guests were offered an option Friday to take a bus to Porto for a tour (2+ hours each way with 3hours in Porto). 40 probably took that option. For the rest, the ship was at a remote dock, no nearby villages, beginning around noon. It was then decided all passengers would be bussed to Porto and check into a Crown Plaza. Departure time would be 5:00pm. We arrived at 8:00pm, checked and finished a group dinner by 10:00pm. Meanwhile, the Porto excursion bus returned to the ship to pack and turn right back around and drive the 2+ hours to the Crown Plaza.

11:40 CET Saturday. Queen Isabel sailed about 4 hours before ship traffic was again halted due to river conditions. Tomorrow is scheduled disembarkation day. We are 2 hours coach ride to Porto. Pax with flights before noon will be driven to a Porto hotel this afternoon for subsequent airport transfer Sunday morning. Others will transfer in the morning directly to airport. No tours mentioned for today.

As of 11:50 CET, we have been informed that high water continues to prevent navigation. Mainly caused by the the lock’s inabilities to handle the water volumes. We remain docked in Pocinho. The staff is diligently working on contingency plans. Pax are understanding and we have plenty of provisions. The scenery and weather are beautiful.
-
Philw - it’s stills a great trip despite the inconvenience. We are scheduled to resume sailing by 10:45am Friday and complete the day’s tours by evening and be back on schedule.
-
Currently headin downstream on Uniworld Queen Isabel. We were just informed that the river has been deemed too dangerous to sail due to high water. Captains and authorities are meeting to discuss. In the meantime, we are docked.
-
(Sorry but- The Bachelor on Uniworld? Oh dear, my opinion of Uniworld has just dropped many notches. And we are sailing with them for the first time in two weeks.)
I'm with you 5waldos! Geeezzzz.

I checked the app today and Avaviola now shows up. There is a note from Ama which says "Amacruiser is progressively being implemented across the fleet in 2018. We apologize if your cruise is not yet available."
Amakristina stuck in Lyon?

I noticed on Marine Traffic that they are only cruising the small portion of Rhône and Saone near Lyon. Can they not get through locks to Arles due to strikes?
