Thanks so much for your incredible review! I've been trying to convince my husband that Un-Cruise is the way to go in Alaska. I think this might just do it!
-
Love your review, thank you! And oh my goodness that food tour. I think if I show those photos to my husband I'll be able to talk him into going on a European cruise! It is so fantastic that you're doing all this with your mom. Just fantastic.

Thanks for asking this, I'm wondering the same thing with a 20 year old girl. She is too young to drink. Of course our family will hang out a lot together, but I too am wondering if there are any young adult get togethers.

There aren't many reviews on this site. But if you go to Trip Advisor, there are lots of very recent positive reviews:
Enjoy your cruise! If you use Joyce I hope you'll report back on this site!

SO GLAD to hear it worked out! Have a great cruise.

Thanks for all the comments! When I look at the packages, it appears Perrier is specifically excluded from the classic n/a. She LOVES Perrier. But paying a small upgrade fee would be a good solution, even if it is a bit silly because the premium n/a package is significantly less than the classic with alcohol. I'd certainly be willing to do that. Yes, we're sailing in the Caribbean. I wish it were Europe! Someday...
Thanks again everyone!

Hello,
We have a cruise booked for 5 people in 3 AQ cabins next year. Because of this site, we were able to get the all inclusive perk package! My question is, my daughter will be 20 at the time of the sailing. Obviously she won't get the alcohol drink package as her perk. But will she get the Premium Non-Alcohol package so she can take advantage of the smoothies & Perrier she enjoys? Or will she just get the Classic package with no alcohol.
Thank you!

Are the refugees coming aboard your ship? Is everyone okay?
-
Thank you again for pointing this out!!! I was able to get the additional two perks for each of our THREE AQ cabins reserved for our family of 5 adults next year! This saved me roughly $1400!! I'm so excited. Add to that, the price went up more than $200 pp the next day. I feel like I got a heck of a deal, even at the high holiday prices.
-
Thanks for the heads up! I just sent an email to my TA for our cruise in December 2015. The prices look the same so my fingers and toes are crossed!

Thanks for the link! I never would have run across that story on my own. So interesting!

Can't wait to hear how you packed it all in two carry-ons. Impressive!

Oh my goodness. I poured over your whole trip review last night for the first time and it made me tear up! What a wonderful review - thank you so much. Though it does have a down side -- now I HAVE to take that cruise. Time to start saving!
-
Well said, Thebutlerdidit! I completely agree. Immersive dining choices would greatly enhance a cruise in any region, in my opinion. That alone might lead me to choose one cruiseline over another.

Carnival might also suffer a real loss since they will probably need to offer some sort of compensation to their passengers. Wonder if they should consider a filing civil charges for the cost of the event against the passenger. Even a filing might serve to discourage those with things like norovirus from not filling health forms in a truthful way.
The passenger? The woman who was following the direction of the CDC and still shows no signs of Ebola? Perhaps charges should be filed against all the hysterical, irrational people who turned this cruise around. This poor woman. Does no one have any sympathy for her? She did what she was told and now is the scape goat.

I know what we can do' date=' lets set up camps where we can send all the health care workers who are exposed to infectious disease. That way we can monitor their activities and protect everyone else.[/quote']
Sarcasm noted and APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks for the information, Jenna!

Hello,
Does anyone know if the sky suites on Reflection have any type of curtain or separation between the sleeping and couch areas? Thank you in advance for your expertise!

I don't know if any one else posted a picture of the graves. Here is a link to them. Go down to the bottom of the page.

What a wonderful husband you are! From the "wife" perspective, I'm voting for Bermuda or Canada/NE.
Personally, I would LOVE to do any of these itineraries and Alaska is definitely in our future. But as Sloop-JohnB points out, Alaska requires a lot of research and planning. Does your wife enjoy researching the trips? For me it is half the fun. Also, for such a long, expensive plane ride, I think it would be better saved for a time when you can get more than a week off work.
Bermuda sounds really intriguing, and sounds like it has a lot of culture. You could stay with X and really get a chance to know the place in depth.
But of course I don't see how you could possibly go wrong with Canada/NE. You say you fear she'll think that it's more of a gift for you, but I don't think so. If she loves some of the sights, and you two enjoy ports with history, culture, etc, you're just picking something you both will enjoy! If you're out in port every day you'll be tired in the evenings anyway. So maybe the sedate nature of HAL won't matter.
So I guess my (incredibly uninformed!) vote would be ever so slightly in favor of Canada/NE.
