Mandarin Oriental would be more into the central district.

Probably wouldn't use express train to Airport at the weekend having heard of disruptions, more likely car transfer.

My wife & i will be staying in Hong Kong for 3 nights prior to a cruise in Early March.

The cruise starts in Singapore and finishes back in Hong Kong so we will also have a flight from HKG to Singapore & that is on a saturday.

So the 3 nights in Hong Kong will be from midweek and i was wondering where the best location would be for our stay both from a safety point and also to do normal sightseeing.

We don't want to shop. Love to potter around nice places though. Anyone done the Amalfi coast from Sorrento? If we did a tour there, it would mean not really seeing Sorrento itself.

We stopped at Sorrento in september 2013 on a cruise.

1st day we did a private tour from Sorrento going to Positano,Amalfi & Ravello, the scenery is spectacular & Positano & Amalfi well worth a visit.

2nd. Day the swells didn't allow the tenders to run so ship re-located to Naples
