Yep I moved to Florida in March. After my dad passed away I realized that life is too short not to follow my dreams of living in Florida and working in something that I am made to do.

I will be up in your area in a few weeks. I am cruising on the Carnival Elation on September 10 with some friends.

I really enjoy it here. I have made some great friends in the short time so far that I have been here.

You live in Florida and your last cruise was in 2013 ?? Yeah you are long overdue ;) :)

Yeah, I moved to Florida, for my husband's job last year. We will live here till 2017/18 but then who knows?

I like it here so far, I got used to the humidity and I love how everyone is laid back!! Life is too short and Im glad you made it here:)

I'm trying to talk my husband into another Carnival Cruise, our last one was 2013 :( I love cruising.

I recently moved to the JAX area, actually 30 mins away, in the "beaches" area. I am looking forward to crusing on the Elation, in the future and longer cruises would be nice. I wonder if he just picked Jax as a random location, for the spectulation..

I'm more of a bed girl.. God that sounded bad. Other than having to go home .. Id say the cost of some excursions is ridiculous !!

I just discovered that on Carnival you can get wine packages :) and get 3-5 vouchers, for 1 bottle of your choice. They have 3 different tiers.. But it's defiantly something to consider for my next cruise

How long until you get to diamond ?

If you have a soda card or a cheers package get a soda head to swirls and make a coke float .. you might need an extra cup :)

Reading your review is making me itch for my next cruise. I might book the Jan 9th cruise on the Elation.. (Yes, I made a countdown for it even if I'm not booked, yet) I made a post on Facebook and my brother, his bf want to go and other family members are looking into it as well.. I might just end up with my own crew lol :) thanks for another great review :)

The last time we were in canaveral we got to port and realized how much it would cost us with a taxi or bus just to leave the port, we decided to stay on the ship that day. We didnt have any excursions planned, and we felt silly spending money on a cab just to spend money to shop..

I now live in FL, so seeing a lot of those attractions at a port arent too appealing when I can drive down and enjoy them over a weekend.They are a good distance from the Port.

Its crazy how much they charge you to go to Disney for a few hours..just my 2 cents..

If I do go back I will book one of NASA excursions, since I can see Orlando another time. My family actually bought season passes to Legoland its about an hour from Orlando but more affordble :)

I like the idea of being able to book an un named/ unborn baby. I am trying for another baby and booking another cruise in 1 year exactly, so the information is good to know, if I end up in the same situation. I hope that if I do conceive that I will be able to travel. I am worried I might have to reschedule if I conceive ASAP, but its doubtful. I know its terrible but its the truth AND we havent booked yet.

I haven't bought anything back other than alcohol but I plan on getting spices next time I cruise :)

5-7 I love drink packages :) on my first cruise (7 day) we spent around 800 !! Good thing we had money .. And it was our first cruise our best vacation yet !! And that's not counting what we had on excursions or shore.

Not a cruise virgin but I do like to carry my lanyard. I did learn on my 2nd cruise to get a free one from the casino. I like to "ohh and ahh" when I first get on :) I did my research about the sail away drinks and said no at first but then got one because it was my 1st cruise and it was before carnival had the cheers program. I now know that I can get the DoD in a regular cup. On my first cruise I HAD to get All of the special cups :) ya live ya learn.

Gotta Love the CHEERS package! It was avaliable on my last cruise , Jan2013 :) most days I only made it to 7 -8 but very spaced out. I was also traveling with friends and my then 4 year old son.

I just moved from Pennsylvania to Flordia, Im about 20-30 mins from JAX port.. I believe. I cant wait to cruise moRe since almost all ports are drivable :)

I enjoyed your review! I came here looking for information about the Elation and left wanting to cruise out of NOLA and visit the French Quater :) the food looks so good! I wont be cruising out of NOLA for a while.. BUT its definatly on

ports I must check out :)

My husband doesn't care for carnival much, it's the only line we've been on. He doesn't like that they have the same activities on each boat and he feels like they try to sell you more and more.

I really think this is a brontosaurus!

I wonder if the housekeeping staff gets bored and goes,"lets make a random looking towel animal and see if they can figure it out"

I had a friend take a picture of one too.. they actually just forgot to put the "head" on the body and well lets just say it looked like "lady parts" :)

I am cruising out of Baltimore because it is the closest port to me.Its nice because I don't have to fly,however the iteneries out of Baltimore are limited :( .

I wish I could move to Florida,but my husband lived there as a teen and is "over it" and he doesn't elaborate ..lol I'm just over Florida he says :(

Thank you for the wonderful review,it was a good read and I will be on the pride in 60 days! I believe I was on the liberty in the Caribbean the same time you were on the pride in the Bahamas! The weather wasn't the greatest until we were near st Thomas and it was a full on snowstorm in pa.

I think for me it's been flying to and from a port and having to worry about what I can and can't pack.

And of course leaving the boat for winter in PA. :(

I did notice some Tweens running around on our first cruise and they didn't really bother us.

This cruise I'm bringing my 4 year old : Pray for me :)
