  1. Book the Vatican Night Tour tour with Sev Borzak of Anno Domini Tours. He is incredible and the Vatican is not crowded.

Also book the Scavi (Underground tour) of Vatican. Book early and online at Vatican site- there are limited amount of people they let in.

Eat at Roscioli Salumeri in Campo di Fiori. Look up the reviews. Not much to look at, but wonderful food. For real Roman dining, Armando's near the Parthenon is authentic.

  2. I says on our Refection cruise when we reach Civitavecchia "5:00AM". Does that mean that we can walk off at 5:00AM or does the ship have to be cleared.

In other words, what is the earliest we can get off the ship?

    Have an early flight.

    Thanks

  3. We will be disembarking from our cruise ship at 9:00AM and our plane does not leave until 10:00PM. Any suggestions as to where to store our luggage and important papers (passports, cash).

Was thinking about getting a hotel room for the day. Does anyone know of any hotels with a day rate.

Another thought was getting a hotel for that night, trying to check in early and if not, leaving our luggage at the hotel and putting our valuables in the hotel safe. If that is our only option, where would be a convenient area?

    Thanks

  4. Are those with Oceania Tours given tender priority. Do we have to wait until all with Oceania sponsored cruises get tendered into port before those with private tours?

Is there just a sue for the tenders or is the "colored card" system in place.

Need to be on a first tender and trying to figure out how.

    Thanks!!

  5. We are coming in via cruise chip from 12:00 to 8:00PM to St Jean de Luz. We would like to take a taxi or private car to San Sebasyian rather than the train strictly for convenience sake. We are going to do a Pintxos crawl in the Old City.

Are taxis easy to get at the port area? If so, has anyone done that and what should it cost.

Any recommendations for a private service? If so, any idea what the cost would be?

Will it be difficult to get back from San Sebastian?

    Thanks

  7. We want to go to Herculaneum from Sorrento. I would not mind doing the train, however, would appreciate any advise on alternatives.

If taking the train, where do I get it, where do I but tickets, where do I get off and how long is the ride. I assume to get back I just backtrack. If not, please let me know.

Once at Herculaneum, are there guides, audio guides? How much time should we allow ourselves at the site.

Do the trains run pretty regularly on the way back.

Any other info you think I may need would be greatly appreciated.

    A huge thanks.
