  1. Allyson,

We loved our Vietnam/ Cambodia trip. It was warm in November , but no rain. All the tours were wonderful in both countries. The guides were excellent. Ha long Bay was beautiful with an overnight on a junk. Both Hanoi, Ho Chi Min and Siem Reap hotels were amazing. Sofitel. We arrived early and hired a guide for two days in Hanoi. In Saigon, we took a private motor bike food tour that was a highlight.

Truly the trip was amazing and AMA never disappoints.

  2. Hi

We are leaving on AMA Paris to Normandy on August 3rd. We are doing our pre stay at Relais St Germaine. We arrive July 30th. We have hired Paris By Michael for two walking tours before we board. We have booked the Westin Vendome for four days after. Looking forward to our third tour with AMA. We've done Danube and Vietnam / Cambodia.

  3. Hi,

My husband and I are signed up for Nov. 2016 for the Vietnam/ Cambodia trip with AMA Waterways. Last November we did our first river cruise down the Danube with them. It was outstanding - therefore, we have chosen them for this trip. We leave on November 12th for 21 days. I'd be happy to share our experience when we return. We have previously done Crystal ocean cruises and have been very pleased with them. I think AMA is amazing in all areas, guide, food, staff and friendliness.

  4. We did our first river cruise on the Danube with AMA waterways. We loved the whole trip. We stayed in Prague four days before on our own. It was less expensive doing it on your own. We stayed in a wonderful little hotel and hired a guide for three out of four days. We ended in Budapest and again stayed on our own . You will love AMA for their friendliness of both staff and cruisers. The food was excellent and the staff knew you by the second day. Their tours were informative and the guides were excellent. They had four levels of activity for the tours that you could chose from, including bike riding through the villages in some places.

  5. We did the Danube including Prague and Budapest. Bring a lightweight vest to parka, the kind you roll up very small. On warmer days I wore the vest and a scarf. The parka was light and not bulky, served itself well for colder days. I wore hiking shoes by Ecco for day. Nights on the boat for dinner, skirt or pants with a nice top. Inside is warm so don't worry about strappy shoes, they will be fine. I found I was a little overdressed. But I like to look nice and dinner is set up like a gourmet meal.

  6. We did the same trip last November. We didn't know the cruise directors name until we arrived. She was wonderful, but I apologize I don't remember her name. Under river cruise section Kirsten, who owns AMA has a question and answer section. It is located at the beginning of the river cruise section.

You'll love this trip. Ours was a wine themed and it was excellent.

  7. Just got off Crystal Cruise Last Thursday. We used TJ travel for a three day tour in Saint Petersburg. They were amazing. We had Elizabeth as our guide. Not only was she informative, but humorous as well. They met us the first day as we came through customs and were timely everyday. They provided lunch every day at a different Russian restaurant trying a different menu each day. At the end of our three days the 10 of us were so sad to leave her and so appreciative of all she did to make Russia come alive. Hugs and tears as we said goodbye. We had people from N Carolina, Los Angeles , NY, and Florida. The Florida person was a travel agent and was as thrilled as both my husband and I. Please don't hesitate to use them. Those who used the Crystal guides found they were difficult

To understand. Elizabeth teaches English and was great.
