  1. I think our 2017 cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii return on Star Princess was near perfection. Several weeks before cruise, there was a sale for picture packages. Price reduced from $249 to $99 for all pictures, including a digital copy. Our dear travel agents and friends helped us with booking and things to do at all stops on the different islands of Hawaii.  We boarded ship and started to unpack when there was a knock on the door.  Our travel agents were in the next cabin. They had decided to join us. Great balcony cabin, amazing scenery, great friends, excellent foods. What more can you expect?

  2. We have cruised with our daughter who is gluten free, and she had no problems. My wife is dairy free and has a severe allergy to bell peppers and she has had no problem.  As people mentioned earlier, speak to Maitre D on boarding, and with head waiter before each meal for peace of mind, but you should have no problem.

  3. When I signed into Princess account on Sunday, a pop-up opened saying that my December cruise had come down in price by $125 per person. I emailed my TA, and they checked with Princess. This reduction was only for our booking, and Princess would not apply this reduction to other people booked on same cruise. Apparently it is something done at random. My wife and I are happy, the other ones travelling with us, not so much.

  4. It looks to me like the cheapest shuttle is around 20/pp each way. Our family is 4, and for our trip in Nov, to rent a minivan from Avis, with all the taxes and fees, is just under $70 (preferred and with a corp discount, but still).

$10 cheaper AND I get to be in control (yeah, I have issues...).

DO NOT overlook this option. We have a 2pm MCO flight, so we have the luxury of time that others might not have, but this is an outstanding option for us.

We used Family One Transportation last year and had great service. Party of 4 cost $100 plus tip. We are using them next month also. This time party of 3 will be $95 plus tip. Last time they used a full size SUV. Since we have an 11:45 flight we want to be sure there are no problems with making flight. More expensive than shared transport yes, but worth every penny for peace of mind.

  5. I wonder if their cabin prices for Canadians just increased 35% before the sale was announced? That would be a page right out RC books. ;):')

We tried to take advantage of this offer, but since we are after final payment date, NCL is not budging. Our spa mini-suite went down over $1,000. Note to self: just before final payment is due check prices again because after that date, too bad, so sad.

  6. As above....call and ask. They may accommodate you, if there are any complications or uncertainties then just cancel and re-book at that time.

We are booked in a spa Mini-suite for a Christmas cruise. After final payment, this cat cabin is now available for $1,060 less for new bookings. There seems to be a large number of M9 cabins available. NCL is sticking to their policy of no changes without cancellation fee of total amount of first cruise. One would think they NCL would prefer to keep customers coming back rather than alienating them.

  7. We purchased the $99 package in Feb. I would check the website often (I saw it under Onboard Reservations in the Cruise Personalizer). We just got off the cruise and had 17 pictures so you can see how $99 is a steal. I bought the package for our 2018 cruise as well because I was afraid Princess might not offer it again.

Just finished a 15 day Hawaii trip on Star. I had seen photo package at $199 on Personalizer earlier, and when it saw it at $99 if prepaid, I jumped at it. We came back with 91 pictures, prints and digital on a ship stick. We usually buy between 3 and 6 pictures anyway.

  8. Ours is 8:45 a.m. this coming Tuesday and I can just imagine what the morning traffic will be like. Normally, it's about an hour and a half drive for us but I'm going to allow 2 1/2 hours due to traffic on the 403 and the QEW. You're right..Saturday morning traffic will be much lighter. I should really have made the appointment for later but I was just so happy to find two appointment slots fairly close together and only had to wait about 3 or 4 weeks. That was pretty quick to get your pre-approval so quickly. It took about 7 weeks for us and I ended up having to call them to see what was happening with it. Good luck! :)

We sure could have used the Nexus card last Sunday. We landed at Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport in Montreal. It took us two and a half hours from leaving the aircraft to leaving the terminal with our bags.
