Better location is in Princess' opinion. Many passengers have their own definitions of what are better locations.

Yes ! To me an Mini suite on Lido is always the best. For that Category cabin. And once you stay in a full suite 500 sq feet or larger it is tuff on the wife to step down lol.

We're booked in L108 on the Majestic for next November; 10 day Mexican Riveria.  We're very excited to try these.  Our friends are in L107.  Does anyone know if we will be able to walk across the short hallway between the two sides?  We have another set of friends who are looking to book either M107 or M108 and go with us.

We're not overly concerned about sitting on the balcony while moving because in November we most likely wouldn't be able to sit out much anyways; even if we had a side balcony.

They can open the balcony's up too!

  3. Last note; On Discovery Princess L 107 and similar cabins up front - there is no teak furniture, cushions or Chase loungers. A table 2 chairs and ottomans is standard.

We asked and were told cushion loungers  are reserved for full suites only. I don’t give up easy so I asked the room steward to check with his supervisor about a pool chair plus $20 it showed up lol.

Now it occurred to me. I could locate one of the adaptable cushions for movies under the stars. And Bam improvising

  4. That is an on board credit  by the casino. I thought it was for casino play, it's not but if everyone thinks that it is they  have done what they wanted to get you in. It is in fact your on board standard credit that just happens to be sponsored  by the casino. They are one of the same. I went to the cash out and asked .

Correct me if i am wrong.

I won $14800 grand jackpot on Oasis in August. They kept none of it for Uncle Sam but I did get paperwork for IRS.

I did not see what they gave her , perhaps it was paper work as well and she knew it was not all hers. I would never gamble again lol

  6. The only winner is the house. No one says what they lost over the years.

    So 2 cruises a year for 20 years @$100 a pop that is $10,400

Won $400 once and walked away -  do the math 🤩

I just want to be able to play for more than 30 seconds for my $100.

Dollar slots at $3 to $10 a pull..

  7. I’m currently on grand princess Internet works just fine South Pacific- yesterday I was able to access YouTube TV without even using a VPN but now it says that It can’t get access cause it can’t find my location so I tried to use the VPN did all kinds of work around it’s not working I don’t know if I’m being blocked with a VPN. I don’t remember that every problem before but it was before starlink

Thanks for sharing.  I'm especially interested in this as I plan to do a similar route next year on a non-Princess ship that has Starlink.  I would especially be interested in one that's midway between Honolulu and Fiji.  That's traditionally been a bit of a dead zone for Internet service.

i’ve been cruising for 20 years so to me. Yes, this is not land based but it’s totally fine for everything you would want to do. Including streaming sports, movies, FaceTime, etc..

  9. In regards to the northern hemispheres, my wife and I just completed a Norwegian fjords cruise on Sky Princess and had excellent Internet the entire time which surprised me.  Used an VPN and watched all the games.

You would’ve thought in between the mountains we would’ve had no Service, but that wasn’t the case.

as an interesting note, when I did do speed checks, they were pinging off of starlink, which I thought was notable

M108 has an awesome balcony!!  We've been in the stateroom before and loved the lay out of the room.  The living area is separate from the bedroom, feels like much more space than a normal Minisuite.  We used the balcony every day and have now booked a TA on the Sky in one of these marvelous rooms!!  It's great fun being at the BOW of the ship!!

That is an whole different cabin it is as good as a full suite the balcony is super huge strange interior lay out but massive out doors

I had a similar idea that I might rethread ... as a newer single (who needs to figure out how to change his picture again LOL) ... would I be better off looking at last minute deals than booking in advance? I've never looked at last minute deals.  I'm turning into a Candian snowbird cliche and I'll be in Florida for the winter til the end of March so far.   I found a decent deal on Princess as well out of Lauderdale for April 1 but I could easily sail out of any Florida port.

Check out Ruby Princess From Galveston Jan - Feb 2023 insides from $388 solo price Balcony $ 700 ish Booked a full suite @ $2100 solo rate

FYI Carnival stock CCL is at an all time low $6.28 today. 100 shares will get you an onboard credit of $100 for a seven day. I have saved in advance vs last second. Princess has always been great with lower prices as a credit or cancel and rebook if it's that good with in the time frame

I'm solo not single Wife would not go on a Carib cruz,  Snooty traveler we do other fun things

First time cruising out of Galveston - so arriving a couple of days early (so ship's transfer won't work) can someone recommend a good, reliable transfer company to get us from the airport to our hotel in Galveston ?

    Thanks !

Uber works great and tons available no weight
