  1. Has anyone gone on the Carnival Miracle? We thinking of taking the April 29, 2018 Western Caribbean 7 night cruise out of Tampa. Nice ship? It's very reasonably priced

We also booked this cruise. I liked the ports and sailing from Tampa is very easy for us, since we live in Atlanta.

The price with the early booking savings was amazing compared to the other lines. I too checked the reviews and it looked fine for us.

    Roy:)

  2. Greetings,

We have had one before and just checking to see if the Neptune Suites still have DVD players in the room.

One of our favorite things to do after a long day is just relax and watch one of our favorite movies after dinner.

RCCL still has them, however we are planning our next vacation and I think it's time to try Holland again.

We decided for us the Neptune suites are the best of the different cruise lines.

    Thanks,

    Roy:)

  3. I just responded to an email that was sent by RCCL to book a cruise and when I clicked the plan a cruise on the email, it took me to the website, but still freezes, I replied to the email telling them about their website issues and there is even a thread here about the issues on their website.

I asked for someone from the IT department to look into it, I know the customer service people would not know how to fix the problem, they just say it works for me.

  4. When we tried the Behind the Scenes tour on RCCL they told us in addition to closed toes shoes everyone had to wear long pants for our safety. We passed and said we would wait till we were on Carnival. They also would not let men where dress shorts on casual night, so now we are booked on the Miracle, Yeah! I can dress like an adult and not have a supervisor for dinner dress code.

  5. As the title says. Do excursions ever go on sale? Either before you board or while you are on board.

    Greetings,

I book well in advance for our trips and I got an email on "Black Friday" excursions were 20% off for a limited time only.

Needless to say, I took my list and booked everything.

It is the only time I have seen them on sale.

    Be well,

    Roy

  6. If you click on your username in the upper right, and hen "Edit Options", scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will find the option to change the "skin" back to the old format. Click on "form default" and save.

    That should do it.....

I just tried and it will not go back to the previous skin. It has been blocked as a option. Yuck!

  7. Greetings,

We are going on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean and would normally book the the cruise line for excursions. It appears the prices have doubled since our last experience and found a booking company thru TripAdvisor's reviews called Viator and hoping someone might have experience if they are reliable to book excursions.

We are going going to zip line in St. Lucia and the ships excursion does not go to the Treetop Adventure Park.

    Thanks,

    Roy

  9. We cruise every Christmas. A channel featuring a fireplace accompanied by holiday music would be appreciated.

We typically cruise in GS and have access to a DVD player, so we bring our own.

I think it would be a nice touch for other families on board.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We are in a Grand Suite also, most of our DVDs are Blu Ray, will they play?

We also watch the old black and white classics on the old format, Now Voyager, our favorite for before the cruise.

Love to bring that one and watch on the ship.

    Thanks,

    Roy

  10. If you are in a GS and above, go to the concierge/Suites lounge and ask for DVDs.

They are free rentals for you to use.

After a long day of walking, my legs give out and I need to rest.

I respect others that don't like to have the movies on TV, but sometimes I physically need to lay up and relax.

Another incentive to get a suite, we did book a Grand suite for our next cruise.

    Thanks for the information.

    Roy

  11. RCCL used to have lots of free movies on TV, would be nice if they had what Celebrity has, but I like the DVD in suites so we bring movies and TV series we can watch when we want ( Hal has dvd player in all cabins) , I also cruised before cabins had dvd's and balconies

We too love to relax before bed and watch TV and old movies. I noticed there is a DVD player in our suite on the Adventure. Will DVD movies from the US work in the DVD player? I know sometimes the are coded. When we were on Holland, you got them from their library, so I never thought to bring our own.

    Thanks,

    Roy
