Great, thanks for the info and I"m leaning to go there. Can you post the link to your review?

Yep! We were just on there. Some people dressed up, some didn’t. We didn’t go “all out”, but DH wore dress shirt, tie, fancy pants, and I wore a nice dress (but by no means a gown). We ate in specialty restaurants and didn’t feel out of place.
Hi, Wondered what your outcome was on Pearl Island? Going the end of this month and wondered about the choices you mentioned? THanks

We looked at YouTube videos, and picked Pearl Island. We will be there first week in Feb, and I will try to remember to do a review 🙂
Wondered if you had a review of Pearl Island? Going the end of March and I am torn between these choices also. Hilton day pass is in the mix too! Thanks

Read on FB the USA issued a travel caution for Nassau last year due to crime. Think it was the second level caution out of 4, so nothing extreme. We were doing a one day pass at the Hilton the one day we are there. How is the security there for anyone that has gone before? I assume you have to have a wrist band or something to enter and stay on the grounds?

Interested in this question as well as we stop during the cruise. I guess you have to book it through the cruise planner unless you want to take a cab to their first stop, but for like $18 more a person think it is worth it.

I use two large binder clips with string attached to both and hook to shower curtain and a handy place in the room in 3 or 4 places to hold the curtain away from your body. Worked great, just a little hassle to hook and unhook each time!

I booked Nassau Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour. Is this the same one you did?

Trying to find on this site people that have thoughts for these ports of call. Sailing March 28th to these places and have no ideas. We are in our 60's so want nothing "on the edge"!

We did Blue Lagoon island. It was great. If you are looking for a relaxing beach day I highly recommend this.
Hi,
I wondered how much walking there was and if pretty easy? My wife is ok walking but not for a long distance. THanks

Looking for where other cruisers have stayed pre cruise as far as cost, hotel, breakfast, and leaving their cars at hotel. How did you get to and from port with ease? Thanks

We were in Preferred Ocean View Room 7582 on a 12 night cruise in January. I would book this room again!
I especially liked that the bed was placed by the large window' date=' as I enjoy relaxing on the bed looking out at the ocean.
We were concerned, when we first entered the room, that the music from the Centrum would be annoying (when you exit the room from the small side corridor the room sits on,straight ahead, you are immediately at the railing for the Centrum). And while you could hear the music if you stood right at the closed door, once you got further into the room, you could not hear the Centrum sounds while in bed. I have stayed in balcony rooms on the Grandeur, but rarely sit out on the balcony. I just like them for the ocean view. With this cabin I got the view, but didn't have to pay the balcony price.[/quote']
Thanks, this made my day! Now just to sit back and relax and wait!!! Have a great day!

We were in 7586 last March and our cabin had the sofa next to that lovely large window...and I thought that it was every other room had the sofa next to the window or the bed next to the window, but I'm not sure now since cole's nana said that in 7582 the bed was next to the window. Well, whatever you have, you will LOVE that location. We were closer to the Centrum in 7586 and I (much to my husband's dismay) have very good hearing; I had worried about the possibility of noise from the Centrum but it was really a very quiet location. As I said, you will just love both the room and location. :)
Perfect, thanks so much! Now I can just sit back and wait and relax about the location!

We have one on the other side (7588) in 2 weeks on Grandeur. First one of these. Looks very spacious. Thanks for the pic
Hi, Was thinking of booking a cabin in your area for next year, any problems or thoughts from when you stayed in that cabin?
THanks much,
Mark

Anyone have a picture of the window in Room 7582 - a preferred ocean view stateroom?
There is supposed to be an oversized window. Thanks.
Hi, Was thinking of booking this exact room or around it for next year. Was it a good experience staying in that cabin? Any tips I should know?
Thanks much,
Mark

We cruised there last week and after asking a store owner there about her pick for a good lunch she named "Side Street Café". Had the chowder, lobster roll, and a great cheeseburger to break with tradition! All good. Got there at opening 11:00am and avoided the crowd.

Seemed pretty easy to me getting off. You show up at a place onboard and tell them what time and how many people. We were there early and they said are you ready now go off ! The pick up is maybe a block from the pier. We were on RCI last week.

OP... any partic ular reason you will not say to which ports you are sailing? Weird
I guess I didn't think it was important since I said a New England cruise, but it's Boston, Portland Me, Bar Harbor Me, St John, and Halifax.

Wow this is actually funny with some of the responses I got and this subject for us is not near as serious as some have expressed. I guess I'll admit that I used the title of "Marital dispute" to grab attention to the thread to get attention to it, but bottom line was I didn't want to pay the $80 if it didn't work that well on ship. I had read some previous thread where they said it didn't work. A little cheap? Well of course, but would rather spend the $80 on a good steak dinner.
The only part were some are way off is my wife wanting to contact our 3 daughters most days. This is something they have always done with telling about their days and about our 7 grandchildren. So to each his own on that subject, but that will never change here and I'm so glad we have that connection with our family! Thanks to all the comments though, I'll probably stick with paying the $80 and report back here after to let people know if it was worth it and working!

Well, I guess I should have not posted this as it looks like I lost! Anyway, this was just a little joke between my wife and I not anything serious of course and she got a good laugh from the answers! I need to check to see if they have some kind of on board internet café or something if anything. I made a mistake, the cost is $80 for one, so as suggested if we get it for each of us it will be $160. Ok, yes I'm cheap, but wouldn't think twice about spending that on a good meal! My daughters don't mind talking at all each night with their mother. They are used to that and I'm glad everyone likes to stay in the loop! Thanks all.

Which cruise line?
Royal Caribbean, Grandeur of Sea

Doing the 9 night cruise to NE and bought the internet package for one of our cell phones. My wife likes to check in with our adult daughters once a day if possible and be able to text me if I'm on the other side of the ship when she is wondering where I wondered off to!
My thought is we have 5 ports out of the 9 nights to contact them and getting the internet for just one cell won't do her any good to contact me. I'm thinking just wait each day to get to port and text, chat, email kids and save the $60. I have read also that the signal pick up isn't that swift anyway on ship.
Anyone have first hand knowledge about this?
Thanks

Looks like there is only the 2 1/2 hour tours available for our cruise in June. Our ship's hours are posted as 8 to 6 PM. Does anyone have a pointer on which tour we should do, either the 10:00am or 2:00pm? Wondered about the morning rush being tendered to make the 10 tour?
Was thinking a Sept- Oct 2020 cruise leaving NJ. Hurricans??
in Canada/New England

I have always known fall is hurricane season, but only remember hearing about it down south and along southern east coast. Is it a good bet to go ahead and plan a Canadian cruise those months? THanks!
