Hiya all, am so looking forward to trying the slots ( or pokies as we call them in New Zealand) on our first cruise in September but have a couple of queries.

Here in NZ we do not pay taxes on winnings of this type so would the taxes (American) apply to us?

Also if you buy casino coins prior to cruising (as you can with Holland America) are they for the slot machines or for the tables. As you can tell I am not used to your casinos.

I am really looking forward to our time in Dubrovnik which is just the one day on Saturday 17th September on the Noordam. Will there be many other cruiseships that day?

I am unable to climb 65 steps without a lot of stopping and starting so what do you recommend for us for going on the wall? Which entry would be best to get a taxi to from the port?

We are going on our first cruise ever in September on the Noordam - back to back 20 days cruise.

We have been given cabin 4019 and I know it has the steel balcony but unsure exactly what it means and also wonder just what the cabin looks like (only seen the HAL photos). Is it a good room? Anybody know anything about it? Many thanks in advance.
