Great Pics.
How did you like the champagne cruise in Grand Caymans?
Loved it! Not at all crowded and they were excellent and professional. Took time with all of us to explain details about the stingrays and how to be safe. Favorite tour by far.

Yes, we did play trivia pursuit and other trivia games and won two "Dingy on a Thingy" or better known as "Ship on a Stick".

We had FTTF so we boarded early, took our carryon's to our room and decided to go to Cucina del Capitano for lunch. Lido, Guy's Burger, etc... were crowded but very few people in the Italian restaurant. Very nice and relaxing...

Then we headed up to watch the casting off party...

First the room......
Stateroom 2276 - Cove Balcony
Electrical outlets - two US 120V standard and one 220V
We brought regular 10 and 15ft extension cords and duct tape so we wouldn't trip over them. Also brought a clock with two extra plugs.

We traveled with friends, so we had the room steward open the door between our decks...

As usual, I'm missing something in this thread. Isn't ANY passenger regardless of status or purchase of FTTF able to carry their luggage on as long as it meets the "measurement requirements" and can be scanned during checkin? However only pax with the elevated status or FTTF can take their luggage directly to their cabins once they board. I understand the use of porters, that with FTTF or status they get delivered sooner to the cabin, but I did not think just bringing your bags onboard was any sort of "perk".
The ONLY reason that I mentioned FTTF in my original post was to give a reason as to why I wanted to bring my bags on myself (i.e. room would be available so I could drop them off). Sorry for the confusion this seems to have caused. But I do appreciate the responses. I did not think about the size limitations. Assume I can find them on the Carnival site?

Ok... OP here. Wow. To be clear, all I was asking was if I can carry on my bags versus waiting on them to be delivered. Since I have FTTF, I would be able to immediately drop them off in my room. However, I did not think of the size of the x-ray machine. So I guess the question is now moot since my DW and I will each have a large piece of luggage (7-day cruise).

If we have FTTF, can we just carry all our bags on ourself?

Leaving this weekend. How many one's should I pick up at the bank for tips before departure?

Also priority tender and getting off the ship at debarkation if you have an early flight (like we do).

4 DAYS! Did I say 4... why yes I did! Carnival Breeze

Does anyone know the dimensions of the sail & sign card? Thinking about getting a custom lanyard with an ID holder.
Also, if I don't do this are there free lanyards available at the casino?
-
Since you have FTTF please remember to have the porters put the orange FTTF luggage tag on your checked baggage if you want to get it earlier, otherwise you will get it at the same time as the rest of the passengers.
Thank you for the reminder! I remember reading this a while back but have forgotten.

We will be boarding the Breeze next Sunday. We have FTTF and an arrival time of 10:00 - 10:30am. Haven't been on a Carnival ship since 1986 and hear things are a little different now. So..... looking for advice on what to do on that first day. Lunch and/or dinner advice for first night would also be much appreciated.

One week before we begin our cruise. Making last minute decisions on packing. Can anyone tell me what type of electrical outlets and voltage on the Carnival Breeze? Pics of course would be great but any info you can share would be much appreciated.
-
Would you mind sharing what type of electrical plugs were available? I have seen pics that show one 110V plug like in the U.S. and one 220V European plug with two round prongs. Also seen pics with two 110V plugs. We will be sailing on the Breeze in November. Thanks in advance.

I just sailed the same itinerary on the Dream. You can find my review of Jamaica on this board. My advice, stay on the ship and enjoy the quiet time as others go on land. The other ports are far better than mo bay. I'll not go back to Jamaica. Just my opinion.
You know what, done deal. We are staying on the freaking ship! We have long time friends staying on the ship, so we can enjoy some less crowed time with them.

I could be crazy, but I thought I recently saw a post about Sunscape having an adult pool. It could have been on my social network roll call, though. Anyway, it seems they liked the resort & the fact that it does have an adult area. If you are on social network, search for your ship & sail date and see if there is a page set up for it.
Not sure what you mean by social network? Is that a specific site that you are referring to?

Take Uber. It's under $50 from Hobby to the port for up to 4 people. Don't have to wait for others. They can also pick you up from the port back to Hobby.

We have never used Uber. If we have 2 adults and 2 large luggage, would an Uber X be appropriate? Can't find much info about luggage online.
-
Has anyone used Lyft or Uber for transport from HOU to Galveston? Wondering about the cost difference.
-
Bumping for hopefully more input. Any adults w/o kids enjoy Sunscape Splash. This one is $79pp vs $124pp for others. Or has anyone tried out the Hardrock?
-
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the couples pass?
7-Day Couples Pass on Breeze was $219
-
Thanks to all for the input. Had trouble with Carnival website but they have now corrected the problem and just purchased the couples pass. The ship is almost completely booked so I believe this was a very wise purchase. ;-)

Our steward, Enrico was wonderful. We had friends who were in 2272 and 2268. They had a different steward so can't speak to how he was. Sorry
