In my email, it lists the minimum bid with each category, but you’re correct, once you go past zero on the slider, it goes to the minimum.

Since you’re Elite it probably doesn’t matter to you, but just a reminder you only get the CC points for the category you’ve booked, not what you get through Move Up.  Also, you have no say in your cabin assignment, so if you picked your current cabin for a reason, you may want to keep it.  For example, we’re in Concierge for our upcoming cruise, and even though the Aqua minimum bid is only $50 PP, we booked a cabin with an extended balcony and so will keep it rather than going for Aqua (although it was tempting to be able to dine in Blu).

Hiccups, we're having the exact same should we/shouldnt we Move Up. We're in Concierge in a Sunset View cabin but oh we so love Blu!!!

  2. Hi,

Could someone please confirm that if you are lucky enough to have your bid accepted (and have actually taken the cruise) from say a Concierge room to an Aqua, you would also receive the benefit of dining in Blu. I have asked this question three times of Celebrity direct and three times they have told me it is only an upgrade of the room, no associated benefits. Reading the posts on here would suggest I have been given the wrong information.

I have a Sunset View Concierge room booked on a 7 night cruise in the Norwegian Fjords. Its a minimum $75pp bid to upgrade to AQ. If it is only a room upgrade I think I should stay with the Sunset View as AQ rooms are exactly the same!!

Did you book direct or via a third party?  My Agent (at Celebrity) sent me an email shortly after 9 am telling me that the new sailings would not be available to book until 6th April.  This was followed at 9.45 am with the cancellation notification of my 26th August Fjords sailing.

We've now received the cancellation notice direct from Celebrity although we had booked through a 3rd party. So disappointed not to be sailing on the refurbished Silhouette, sailing around the UK just doesn't have the same attraction for us. We'd booked this cruise in January 2019 and lifted and shifted from last summer and unfortunately theres not a comparable cruise next summer. Looks like it may have to be a refund 🤔

  4. I've had an email this morning from Celebrity promoting these short cruises around Britain from 3 July but heard nothing about cancelling our 31 July Mediterranean out of Southampton!!! I see this cruise is no longer available to book on their website but come on Celebrity, how much longer are you going to hang on to our deposit????

You hoped for a miracle and you got it! They were dead and buried at halftime, Kane was in the stands watching, and Son was having a poor game. But somehow they did it. Congratulations.

Oh my word, what an unbelievable game. Elation through the roof. Just hope NCLs contract with Sport24 doesn't end on the 31 May!!!

I can’t tell you about taking advantage of the price guarantee.  But in the US final payment date is 90 days before sailing, so any cruise in Jan 2019 is already past final payment.  Iould doubt that Celebrity would approve the transfer.  Of corse it never hurts to ask.

Our final payment is due in a couple of weeks (think 60 days out). I'm not hopeful either but as you say it never hurts to ask, they can only say no!!

  8. Thankyou for such a speedy responses.  We are before final payment.

If I were able to transfer the booking, would I be able to take advantage of price guarantee offered by US Celebrity which UK Celebrity doesn't offer. Our cruise cabin category has dropped by over $300 since we booked. Would it be a straight transfer as we have drinks package included.
