  1. Wow. I understand your desire to find a lounge chair when you've paid for your cruise, and I hope you understand that those of us who tend to stay in the Haven have the same expectation. We pay a significant premium for service and space, and the space is apparently being reduced on Epic. Lots of people have paid for the Haven without being informed that deck 18 is no longer available, or that the additional thousands of dollars they paid will still not get them a lounge chair or space by a pool.

For some of the other commenters, I would like to point out that Posh is not open to children, so while that is an alternative to the Courtyard for some people, it isn't for those of us who want to hang out with our kids. We LOVED our two cruises in an Epic DOS, but I suspect we will think twice about doing it again based on these issues. Such a disappointment....

Well stated!I think NCL will start charging for Posh on Epic and close the forward again for Haven guests.More money for them right?MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!Tell the Haven customer. Some are repeat customers, and we can not make a decision if you do not give the right facts. My first Epic sailing forward deck was open to Haven guests only. There was never an issue.Relaxing vacation.Had I known that the forward was closed and that they would oversell the Posh passes(another story for another day) on my last sailing I would have never booked.I didn't realize I booked a school vacation week. That caused the pool area to be swarming with children.I had no where to go, by 9am all loungers in Posh were occupied.I spoke to the HD and he didn't care.Epic's HD although seen through-out the ship has authority issues.Would it have hurt him to close the forward sundeck to appease the customer?HE should go in for a customer service class. As you can see that vacation was more of a disppointment than anything.

  2. The front was open on Epic's TA last Oct. my previous two Epic cruises it was closed to public but when one day a waiter went through I saw it was empty.

As there is no fwd facing public sun deck I'm glad this is now permanent open. Far too much deck space taken up by Haven guests who all have balconies, courtyard, two level posh club etc..

Far too much deck space? The sailing I was on it was a holiday sailing. There was not enough space.Lesson learned never again.Depends on the sailing.Too bad NCL doesn't know when it should be open and when it should closed. It's hilarious the comments made about Haven guest getting too much.

  3. Still waiting on a definitive answer to this... Some say yes, some say no, my NCL Pre-Concierge isn't completely sure...

I would like to know also.I will book a mini or balcony if as a Haven guest I have to pay for Vibe on the Getaway.

  4. I had almost the same situation. Was booked in 13706 for over a year and a half and also contacted my PCC as soon as the pics came out with the "hull balcony". I kept being told that it wasn't going to have a "hull balcony" until the letter. Unfortunately, I sail in June so my sailing is basically sold out for the suites. I don't like that fact that my new S5 doesn't have the separate dining area but it was my only choice. I refuse to pay what I'm paying for a "hull balcony". I wish I could upgrade to the 2 bedroom Family Villa but none are available. I'm going to keep checking regularly for any that may open up. A difference of $800 in my opinion is excellent for that kind of upgrade. I too wish the S7 layout was in the Courtyard. That's what I had on the Jewel and we were Courtyard level.

As far as service, I don't think anyone outside of the Haven deck will get any less service.

I dont think anyone has an issue with less service. It's a misrepresentation of a suite.

  5. NCL has to be uniform with their decision.NCL has to adjust all passengers that are complaining and have been affected with the S7's on deck 13 to this date. Its not fair to move for free some and not others. This affects both the Getaway and the Breakaway.NCL needs to be fair. Not fair to those that booked so far in advanced before the ship was built and were given a wrong description.I think NCL reads these boards lets hope they fix this problem for everyone.I just booked deck 12 thanks to this thread.

  6. NCL should change their description on this type of suite S7 so there are no future issues.Anyone that has booked these two cabins on deck 13 should be allowed to be moved for free to the next category if there are no other options in that category.Until NCL makes the appropriate changes on their website and state the correct description they will have issues.

Hull balconies are less in price and so should Suite Hull Balconies. If they are moving some passengers for free to S6's they should follow suit for all that complain regarding the S7 on deck 13 who were booked prior to NCL correcting their description.NCL can not do for some and not for all. Correct your description and move all that booked S7 on deck 13 to either another S7 or an S6 where there are no more S7 available.

I was going to book deck 13 on the Getaway thinking its closer to the Haven area.I know now to stay away from deck 13.Glad I read this thread.
