  1. Unfortunately speaking with RCI doesn't always clear up the confusion.   I chatted with them to be sure I could use the RCI gift card from AARP for my booked cruise.  I gave the reservation number, and all info regarding my booking.  After researching,  he said yes, I can use the gift card to pay down my cruise.   I went to the AARP website and read the terms carefully.   Nope.   Not accepted for group rate cruise.🙄

  2. I just looked over the terms and conditions to the AARP RCI gift cards today and noticed that statement as well.  I think you're right, because the gift card terms stated they must be redeemed in their entirety (fully) at one time.  I planned to partially pay for my cruise with them, but noticed the terms also say not good for group booking and I know my TA has me in a group rate booking.  Sorry, I wish I had something more reassuring to say.

I feel very badly for all of you who find the food in the MDR better than you eat at home. Since Covid, we've only eaten in the MDR a few times, generally we get the UDP.  The only time we do the MDR is if we are traveling with kids or can't get UDP. We've been known to "snack" our  dinner by getting a few slices of pizza from Sorrento, then the charcuterie plate at Vintages and finish up with salad and dessert in the Windjammer.

    Poor unfortunate souls! 🐙

  4. Has anyone got an opinion about the Key on Liberty of the Seas?

How is the fast lane access, helpful?  How long is the average wait with vs without The Key? And what activities does the Key give you fast lane access to?
It also includes dedicated seating section at shows in the Royal Theater, AquaTheater, Studio B and Two70.  Is it easier to get into shows?  Better seats?  Less wait?

Trying to figure out if it's worth it to us while it's on sale.

  5. I logged in to RCI online and it shows my points are 0/"PreGold."  I have taken a previous 7 night cruise that shows in my history.  I waited a couple days, thinking the points would be corrected, but they have not.  Is anyone else missing their C&A points?  I know there's only 7 of them, but they're mine. 🥺

  6. Long story short; I may be stuck with My Time Dining (generally 7:30pm or later) and I don't like to eat late, but I also don't want to miss the shows onboard.

Can anyone tell me when the shows are scheduled?  I like to catch all the best live shows onboard!  I read there are 2 showings to accommodate both early and late diners, but it seems like 7:30 might be right in the middle.  😕

  7. I know the good and the bad.  I had decided to rent one.  DH and I both ride scooters and motorcycles at home.  But no, you can't control the other freaks on the road.  I know it will be fun for us, but the thought of someone driving into us, or having a hard time charging / keeping a charge is daunting.  So, I'm still deciding.  I'd love to hear your personal experience renting a Twizy (or the other similar one) in Bermuda.  Was it good, bad, or ugly?  If we don't rent one, we'll be relying on public transportation.  I know, it's great, yada yada 🥴

2V are considered midship (between the elevator banks)  4V are either forward of rhe forward elevators or aft of the aft elevators.  Good chance with a gty you will be assigned a 4V

You're so right.  But is there a big difference between 2v and 4v?  Are 2v's quieter?  Is there that much of a difference in the movement of the ship?  Or are all small dark rooms the same? 🥴
