If you have no interest in eating in Blu not sure why you are even considering it.
This is only my second cruise with Celebrity.
I am cruising with a friend and thought we might prefer the MDR at a big table for the social aspect of meeting more folks. However, the food at Blu sounds wonderful from the great reviews on these boards.
Since the Aqua veranda, that is available, is aft and also looks large, I decided to consider the "upgrade"
I wanted to get some advice/opinions from experienced Celebrity cruisers. Thanks to all for the helpful feedback!

Is there any chance you will lose the Fam Veranda to a family of more than 2? Surprised they let 2 only book it..
I would look carefully at AQ class aft location to make sure there are no nearby noise issues.. If no issues, we'd prefer AQ class with BLU ..If S Class ship, the Persian Garden would also be a great feature of booking AQ class
When we moved to the family veranda from a regular veranda it was after final payment and a price drop. Instead of a $90 up charge p/p Celebrity charged us $140 p/p because there were only 2 of us in the cabin. I hope they honor it?

We did not do any move up bids. I have just been watching availability for our sailing after final payment.

We could hear the movie when on our balcony and when inside the cabin we normally didn’t hear the dialogue but heard the bass and reverberation of the music inside the cabin.
Every afternoon at 4 there was a movie on 12 and below us at the a sunset bar there was a duo performing which we could also hear clearly. Bohemian Rhapsody competing with folk singing doesn’t make for a pleasant cocktail on the balcony.
This is great information!

What's more important to you - having a bigger cabin and deck or eating in Blu?
17 minutes ago, ECCruise said:Depends on your focus.
If it is food, upgrade. Blu is better than the MDR.
If it is accommodation, stay where you are. The room and balcony are far superior.
We really aren't that interested in Blu. We were planning to eat in the MDR, at a large table, to meet some fellow cruisers.
I just wanted to ask opinions since the Aqua class aft cabins also seem to have a bigger balcony.
Thanks!

My last post I asked your opinions on upgrading to a family veranda and I took everyone's advice and jumped on it!
Well, it now looks like I can upgrade from the family veranda to Aqua class aft for no additional cost. What do you all say? There are 2 of us in the cabin and we will be on the Constellation.
Thanks for your help, again!

Was it one on the corner with the extra huge balcony or one of the other ones with just the huge balcony?
It is 8168... so just a huge balcony...LOL
2 hours ago, Wine-O said:I would take it either way, just for the huge balcony -- not to mention the extra room space. BTW, what are the two of you going to do with all that space, unless you are planning on having a cocktail party? We had 10 people out on our huge balcony and didn't feel crowded. 🍷
A party sounds like a good idea! Cheers!
Thanks to everyone for getting me even more excited about this cabin upgrade!!

Thank you all for the quick replies!! I was able to get it!! So excited for the location and the extra space!

How long is the cruise? If a week or more, I’d jump on it!
It's 9 days and thanks for the link to the pictures!

Do you know which FV? I'd probably jump on it anyway since I love the aft cabins. Whatever FV you get will have a wonderful large balcony.
Thanks so much for your reply. From what I see online, it looks like the only one available is 8168, which is aft.

Would love your thoughts about upgrading from a regular Veranda cabin on Constellation (7175) to a Family Veranda for $220 each? There are two of us.
Thanks for your advice!

Nope (unless you eat VERY early). My guess is that they don't have enough staff to run orders while they're hot, once the Lido and MDR open for breakfast. But that's just speculation on my part.
Just wondering did you try to order and they said no go or did they deliver it cold?
-
I don't mind paying for the omelet and fries. I was just wondering if any one had tried to order for breakfast. Sorry to hear that the egg sandwich isn't good. I'll give it a shot....the worse they can say it no.
-
I see that omelets with french fries are an after hours room service option for $5 charge. Just wondering if anyone has been able to order an omelet(with a charge) to be delivered in the morning for breakfast?

Which ship is it? It sounds like the same room that I pick on Solstice.

On M-class ships the concierge and aqua class cabins are bigger than the regular verandah cabins. On S-class ships they are the same size. OP didn't mention the length of their cruise. We opted on a Concierge on Infinity for a two week cruise for the extra space. The concierge cabin will also come with footstools on the balcony if that's important to you.
Thank you. Our cruise is 8 nights. I did a search on the verandah cabin we have, 7175, and it looks like there might be a full lounger on the balcony....fingers crossed!

Thank you all for your replies.
I think I am going to stick with the cabin I have and wait and see if I can get an upgrade after final payment with the amount I have already paid.

I would do it. At the least you are breaking even and will get more cc points and embarkation lunch.
If you select the $300 OBC credit (150 pp) and also get a $50 reduced fare it is a good deal. Not sure how many perks you currently have and what you selected. If already selected OBC and Drinks Package. I would calculate the cost of Internet and Tips to see if it makes sense.
Thank you so much for your reply!
In my package now, I have the $300 OBC and the drink package. My TA is paying gratuities and giving us additional OBC,
Do you know if I need to change my cabin if I upgrade to Concierge? Are the concierge cabins bigger/better?
-
I will be sailing in September on the Constellation is cabin 7175. It appears that this cabin has a bit of a larger balcony than the standard size. The price to upgrade to Concierge cabin is about $150 pp. However, that level includes and additional perk and what looks like $50pp off total price.
What do you all think? Is it worth it to upgrade and switch cabins? Are concierge cabins bigger? Should I stick with what I have? This is only my second cruise with Celebrity and first one was in an ocean view.
Thanks for your input!

I've been on both and will say that you will have a great time on either one. That being said the next time we are in Barbados I think we will try Silver Moon again. Ah, memories!
Just curious why you picked Silver Moon? I'm deciding between the two now. Thanks!

HI all,
Wondering if anyone has sailed on Constellation in the "bump out" balcony cabins. Right now 7175 and 7176 show as available.
Any info about these cabins would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Free in the dining room with the Cheers package!
Thanks, not sure about getting the Cheers package on our upcoming cruise. It's very port intensive so I don't know if it's worth it for me.
I've done searches and can't find the price they charge for the Pelligrino without Cheers.
-
Hi all,
Does anyone know the price of a large bottle of Pelligrino or Perrier on board?
Thanks!

Good Morning Athena,
Thank you for getting back to us.
In regards to your inquiry, you just need to apply your gift cards to the Sign & Sail accounts onboard either via the kiosks or Guest Service desk and then take that receipt to either the Atrium or Casino Bar to purchase the Cheers package. The ships have all been advised to honor the pre-cruise rate for those wishing to purchase the Cheers program with gift cards, until further notice.
Sincerely,
Shane Ryan
