Thank you so much for the GREAT daily reviews! We learned a lot about the ship, things to do/see/eat/drink for when we board the Edge on September 23!

What was the earliest time you could disembark and do you know if you could carry your own bags off or was it easy to find them at the port when you got off? We have a 10:50 flight out of Rome and are trying to figure out how to get there in time so any suggestions or ideas from anybody would be welcome. Last year we flew out of Bologna and that late flight caused us to miss our Munich to the US flight so we had to spend the night. It was on the airline however we really needed to be home when we thought we would be there.

We proceeded to the bus for the 20 minute transfer to Ravenna. We had pre-purchased this. There was no ticket or anything, and no one checking to be sure we had paid for the transfer. I’m sure that some people may have not realized this was not a free service and may have just gotten on the bus without paying.
Wonderful review! Thanks....now I'm late for my chores! 🙂 Where did you find the transfer from the port to Ravenna? I don't see it as an option in my cruise planner. Will be on Brilliance out of Ravenna in 4 weeks.

Cruise lines are not dumping the plastic into the oceans. Until countries that make up 95% of the earth's population begin to worry about the green movement those that currently are concerned may as well take a nap!

Scenic should offer a cash refund NOW and not make customers hold a voucher for 2 years and THEN "if they can't travel will get a cash refund"! What if they go out of business for COVID19 or something else in the future...there will be NO money to refund. Scenic is Australian based and who knows what type of bailouts will be offered to cruise lines like they have in the States. Demand cash refunds NOW if Scenic cannot travel to ANY location.

Jesters club was the ONLY fun lounge/bar/club where you could dance to a DJ and hear newer music. Totally enjoyed it several nights this past January. With it's departure from this class of Royal we will now need to search for a different class or line to have evening fun on.

Agree! We were on last month and had a ball! It's even worse listening to naysayers while on the ship! "They should do this, they should do that, on the other ship they did things this way or that way"! When you encounter or have to sit with these folks get up quickly and run!

to pandabear90....we were on a couple of weeks ago and went to Jesters 3 nights if that's the nightclub you mean. It doesn't get going till late and the downstairs part has a nice dance floor and DJ. We love newer and dance music and got it there. They had a "quiet party" where you had to wear headphones with awesome sound to hear the music. There were 2 tracks you could choose and the DJ had a different song on each. If just in the club you had to wear headphones to hear the music. It was a hoot and we loved. it and the dancing part. Unfortunately we wandered several nights and the entertainment was fair at best and even worse we hear Jesters will be replaced by 2 specialty restaurants in drydock. Because we enjoy fun nightlife and dancing we will consider a different class of RCCL ships in the future. On a transatlantic on the Jewel several years ago the club at the top was fantastic for late night fun and dancing.

No theme nights 2 weeks ago. They need a new cruise director she's a bore. When leaving one port a P&O ship was next to
us and their cruise away party seemed a blast.

Just got off AOS 1/23 and very jealous! Gave it an A+ and we had a ball! Everything from food to entertainment was excellent and we would go back on tomorrow....wish we could. All going on in the next few months will totally enjoy!

Sailed on AOS 1/16/16. We are a bit fussy, 11th cruise and we gave it an A+! So many winers about everything on the ship and on the boards. It's what you make it and if you're looking for issues you'll find them.
Cruise and Enjoy...nothing is or will be perfect!

Sure hope they don't get rid of Jesters! It was the only hopping place to dance during the entire cruise. People loved the dance floor, DJ and music that was played!

Giovanni's a few weeks ago was quite impressive! If we didn't like our MDR tablemates so much we would have gone back again! Wonderful service, excellent Caesar Salad, Lamb Chops, Gnocchi with lamb/sage ragu sauce, crab ravioli with crab sauce and Tiramisu beyond belief. Portions are quite large and lot's of waste from neighbors but not us..we left 1/2 of 1 ravioli.
Folks we met did the Chef's Table and were disappointed in the location, wine choices and amenities compared to other Royal Ships.

We stored champagne and eye drops in the frig all week and they were both fine although the champagne tended to blur the eyes during the AM wake up.

On embarkation a crew member selling internet
when asked said no matter what day we bought the package we had to pay for 7 days. When I went to guest services they said I could sign up 2 days in and only had to pay for that day forward. A lot of miscommunication from employees. With that being said the connection including in the cabin gets a B+. Not as fast as home however not bad.

Yes to mystery dinner on the Adventure. No reservations for show and even the ice show first come first served

Just off the Edge in Rome on Saturday. From memory there are some wines starting from $9 to $11 in the bars and around the same however sometimes starting at $14 in the dining rooms. Basic call liquor drinks around $13 and martini's in the martini bar around $17. For the martini bar if you have the basic drink package they will charge you extra for a martini. The size of the glasses in the martini bar are what you would find offship however the martini glasses in Eden and other places look to be around 5 ounces....absolutely minuscule.
