Besides this years Black Friday, had anyone seen this before? I’ve seen the 3rd and 4th guest.
Trying to decide if we book or wait for next year.

My understanding is they only offer soy milk onboard, at least that is what all the people in the Vegan's Cruizin With Carnival FB group report form their trips.
You can call/email special access, but they will probably tell you they can only accommodate you in the main dining room. This is false. I recommend emailing the Maître D.
On embarkation day, go to the Maitre D's check in area and talk to them about the fact that she is lactose intolerant. They should help you figure it out. Then each night, you should be able to pre-order for the next night/day and know what does and does not have dairy in it.
In the lido deck, they have what is called "Menu Mate" stands which you can input what you can't have and it lists what's on the menu that she can eat.
Be careful on specialty restaurants- they don't always list everything. Like the pasta Cucina place- they don't say they add cheese on top, but they do.
Be ready to ask and talk to everyone before you eat and be prepared for it to take longer.

They weren't offering it while covid restrictions were in place, now that those are lifting, who knows.
-
tldr- do they still offer yoga classes on the Horizon?
I started doing yoga in the past few years, but I vaguely remember there being yoga classes on the ship?

I have no opinion because I haven't done it, but I want to hear other's experiences!

I had a similar problem, but it showed up a few weeks? months? later. I didn't actively check the online system in that time, I figured I had the email and the cruise wasn't for a bit so I let it sit.

The earliest flight we could book was a 3:30pm from MIA. Is there anything we can do to burn 3 to 4 hours with luggage?

Has anyone done a Kittiwake snorkel excursion? We're on Carnival, and the carnival sponsored one dropped off the booking option.

It is 100% worth it. I can't wait to go again.
They were very stingy with the wine on mine, our glasses would get empty often.

You will have no problems with vegetarian food on Carnival. It is usually marked in the buffet.
I think a few of the extra dining areas are free at lunch, I suggest avoiding the buffet at embarkation- most people get funneled there.

I like COTZ for my face, they have a tinted one that helps with the white haze. That said, most reef safe sunscreens will be with a haze. It's the chemicals that make it non-white.
I like the Bare Republic sunscreen as well.

We headed back around 3pm for our last visit to Sanchos. You just walk to the parking lot and there are taxi's there to go back to the port.

I've been to both and done drastically different things. Everything in Montego Bay seemed to be an hour or more drive away, unless you wanted a beach. Things seem a lot closer to Ocho Rios.
Do not underestimate how motion sick you will be on the back country/interior Jamaician roads.

I'm not sure of any specific restrictions but for your safety and the safety of our oceans/reefs/world, I suggest reef safe suncreens. Remeber that the chemical sunscreens aren't considered safe by the FDA anymore due to more research. Focus on sunscreens with zinc or titianium dioxide.

How safe is it to walk around the port area in Oho Rios? Specifically the first few blocks from the terminal towards Progressive Foods?

I've never been in a Spa cabin, but...hubby and I loved the Havana area on Vista so much so that we booked it on the Horizon for a B2B. We won't sail on one of the major ships not in the Havana or some area like it. It was our haven, respite from the screaming running children and too many people. We only adventured out for food and shows/games.
As others have suggested, you can buy the spa pass and book a Havana. We personally just book insides because the Havana deck is almost NEVER crowded. The pool never had more than 10 people in it, though more could fit.

wait...booking venues? Does this mean that we won't be able to just show up anymore?

As an investor with Beyond Meat, I think it’s a great idea to have a plant based alternative and recommend that you rally with the cruise line to push this initiative. I’ll probably never try the product but I’m always happy to see strategic alliances in companies I support.
They actually offer a beyond burger on some ships for an upcharge on bunch days.

We picked the ABC. 😁
Thanks for all the help!

BTW, Carnival already has vegan options in their main dining rooms each night.
But they don't, not really. I traveled last fall as a vegan, due to an intolerance, and I was served spaghetti 4 or 5 times on my 7 day cruise.
Having a plant based option adds a healthy option to dinner and lunch. While a 2018 poll found that there were only 3% of people who were vegan, plant based cooking has increased. There are numerous reasons someone may not want to eat meat. They would open their doors to more people if they offered a single vegan option instead of a single vegetarian option. Nearly 1 in 4 Americans have cut back on their meat consumption.
While Carnival is a mass market cruise, I disagree that vegan is a fad diet. I do believe it would be a positive change. But, it is my opinion.

I would love to see them add a vegan option to their main dining room. It would add the most bang to their buck for flexitarians and people with allergies.
It would behoove Carnival to look at ways to improve their services to lure people people back to cruising.

We're trying to decide on a B2B option in September/October 2022 on the Horizon (in a Havana of course) for our 10th anniversary.
The first leg would be : Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I've done all of them, but hubby has never been to Ocho Rios.
The second leg is where we get more exiciting and some choices must be made.
S1: ABC- Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco
S2: Aruba Bonaire, La Romana, Amber Cove
S3: Aruba, Curaco, La Romana, Amber Cove
So it boils down to all three ABCs or only 2 plus 2 ports in the DR. We've never done any of the ports on the second half. I've heard mixed reviews on La Romana but good ones about Carnival's Amber Cove part.
We enjoy snorkling (to see coral, fish, any animals), kayaking, musseums, relax on the beach, food tours, and brewery/distilleries.
Thoughts?

I'm really hoping for this. We are looking at a 2022 cruise and want to sail in Europe.

From what I can tell, this is for checked bags only, right?
So it won't handle carry on and I still need to figure that part out?
