Can I buy the tram ticket to the port on the team or where do I buy the team ticket. That’s for the information. I have looked at Melbourne transport but have not seen anywhere a price for a one way ticket and how I can buy the one way fare. Thank you

I am flying in on the day of the cruise in March going to Singapore I only want a one way fare to cruise terminal. Does anyone know is there a shuttle bus that will drop you off at the port and about what price would it be. Thank you

The Smaller princess ships do not have a special Elite/Platinum lounge so no nightly event. It was not on the Dawn or Sun Princess when I was Elite. The only time I have experienced it is on the Diamond Princess at Skywalkers

I used to live near Cooktown. Often the cruise ships could not tender into Cooktown as it was too windy and therefore unsafe so Cooktown was missed.

I join the Diamond on the 23 March so am looking forward to anything you say about life on board the Diamond Princess. Thank you

In Australia the age is 18 to be classed as an adult. There are several Princess ship sailing from and back to Australian ports. That may explain it

I also am in Australia and have not received my cruise Atlas. I phoned about last October and was told they were out but would send me one as soon as they were available again. I will ring them again

Diamond Princess does not get the new mattress

I will be on the Diamond Princess middle of March. No emails. Does anyone know what movies are being shown now? I presume they are the same across all ship. Do you know who is the cruise director on the Diamond now ? Thank you. I am looking forward to this cruise.

Looks like a beautiful day in Sydney

Citi bank has no overseas transaction fees. I have a debit card visa
-
Visa on line is only for flights coming in to Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi. There is a $22 USD service fee then at the airport I pay $25USD stamping fee this is for Australian citizen for 3 months stay. The stamping fee used to be $45 before January 2016. It is cheaper now.

I do not think there is a cheaper way around paying the ship u less you live in a city that has the embassy of the country. It is too expensive for postage to send passports away otherwise. Princess now charges a service fee for Vietnam as well. For my cruise on Diamond Princess it is $106USD for my visa (day) in Bali and Vietnam. I just have to think of it as a cruise cost and pay the price and be happy that I am able to cruise.

I am in Australia and the emails disappeared out of my cruise personaliser a couple of weeks ago and have not returned. They were there but had not got an email sent to me. I cruise in 47 days and have not received any emails as yet to tell me about the dining or entertainment on the ship etc like I have received before my past cruises

Thank you for all the posts about the Diamond. I will be on her at the end of March so was interested in everything about the ship

I have seen pictures like that lots of times but I still love it as much as the first time I saw it. Thank you for posting the picture. I will be on board on the 23 March

An hour later she said I would have to ask as I boarded my cruise

I am in Australia and have booked a cruise for March and tried ringing Princess and got a person from Princess America that kept putting me on hold as she could not answer my question and could not transfer me to a person in Austealia.

Thank you for you help. Just a senior day yesterday. The Aussie dollar going down. I sat down worked out all my predicted expenses and how I was going to pay for everything and it was all good. I will have a great and much needed holiday. Thanks

I am on the diamond princess to Asia in March the accounts will be in USD. I have just rang Princess could not get to speak to Australian office was put straight though to America. They could not answer this question said it depends on the passenger service desk of each individual ship at the time of sailing. My question
They said I could take AUD the morning of the cruise to open a cash account for the cruise instead of putting my debit card in. I have to open the account with $300 USD and the customers service desk will convert the AUD to USD but they could not tell me what rate they will use. I can buy OBC at $100USD for $110 AUD do they use this rate or do they use the exchange rate of the day???
I already have on board credit and know what I am going to spend as I have done this same cruise 2 years ago. I do not intend to spend any of the $300USD that I open the account with. Will I get this $300USD back in cash either AUD that I put down or USD. I do not care. I do not want a cheque sent back to my home address as I am travelling into Asia for a couple of months and with the AUD dropping money is getting tight from when I booked all this 18 months ago. The American office could not tell me how I would get my money back and would not transfer me to Princess Australia. I was on the phone for an hour with waiting for answers only to be told it depended on the policy of the ship on the day.
I already have $700 on board credit and they insist I need another $300 USD the day of boarding. To open cash account. They said a$300 USD hold would be put on my debit card the day of boarding if I did not use cash and they could not tell me when the hold would go off my account. I was getting so flusgrated with the American girl. $300 USD is about $500 AUD from the banks and that is a lot of money for me not to have access to for my Asian holiday
Thank you. Sorry this has been so long. Has anyone opened a onboard account with AUDWhen it has been an American ship operating in USD
Thanks
Judy
My quest

I have just rang princess cruises. They said I could take AUD to set up my cash account that would be in USD. Princess said they convert from AUD to USD on the morning of the cruise but could not tell me the rate they use or where they get the currency exchange rate from that morning.
Has anyone done this. Set up there cash account using AUD that the ship converts to USD when boarding the ship. What rate did they use for example the exchange rate of the day or the rate princess cruise has to buy OBC for that cruise?
Thank you for all your help

I am on the Diamond in March. The ship is in USD. If I buy $200 OBC and only spend $150 on the ship. The last night or morning of the cruise can I get the balance $50 USD back in cash??? Or must it be credited to my card or sent in a cheque. Will I have a cash option?
Thanks you
