We were able to use our non-pin Citibank credit card for about 95% of our needs. We also could not use it to buy a ferry ticket in Stockholm or Tram tickets in Helsinki from the ticket vending machines. We had to wait about 10 mins in Stockholm for the ticket booth to open so we could buy tickets. In Helsinki we were pretty much out of luck and were left with a pretty long walk from Senate square to the Rock Church and back.

Thanks for the info, this is what I was afraid of in Helsinki. We might just buy the HoHo bus ticket from the cruise line to make life easier although in theory we can pay cash to tram driver for 9 € ticket

Ship's time = EST. So no, it doesn't change in each port.

We are taking the Sunshine on Sep 13 out of Port Canaveral. We want to book our own excursion (we are experienced cruisers so don't need any warnings) but are not sure if the 10am arrival is Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) or Central Daylight Time (CDT). I think that Carnival does not usually change time zones but not 100% sure. Did 20 minutes of searches and looks like the answer might be "it's up to the captain to decide".

So what is the local time in Cozumel if our ship arrives at 10am ship time? I am guessing it's 9am since Cozumel is CDT and Port Canaveral is EDT but want to verify with someone that has been recently.

I was recently in Fort-de-France and knew that it was hard to find information in advance so I picked up a map and scanned it in in case others were looking for a map. Even though we were the only cruise ship we still docked at the Quai des Tourelles outside of town.

I had to lower the quality to hit the CruiseCritic attachment limit so hopefully somebody finds it useful.
