  1. If you have a passport I would recommend bringing it.  You never know what may happen.  Out of the blue I had a medical emergency years ago in the Bahamas.  I spent two days in the private hospital in Nassau and had to fly home (passport required to fly from outside of USA). Thankfully I had my passport and didn't have to spend time working around that situation.

  2. Greetings!  The prices for our June 2020 cruise has fallen quite a lot in the last week ($600 pp for balcony, where we are currently booked).  We booked Non-refundable $500 deposit per person.  Is it possible for me to call and "cancel and rebook" immediately, losing the $100 fee pp and using the $400 future cruise credit pp right then?  Or do I need to cancel and wait for a certain amount of time to use the credit?  I am not confident we will book another cruise within 12 months so would like to use the credit on this trip if possible.  We would seemingly still save $1,000 total and have the same perks, so I think the process will be worth it regardless.

Another question: I have also seen posted that even after final payment we can upgrade with no fee as long as the price of the new category is higher than our current booking.  Are there any other restrictions on this practice?  I am considering changing to Oceanview now and betting that Balcony prices will fall further after final payment, understanding that may not happen, or Balconies may sell out, and we may have to stay in Oceanview.  Anything else I should consider?

Thank you all for your help!

  3. We were on this cruise as well. Our room was clean and our attendant was great (no a/c issues luckily!). A few folks in our group had different drink packages and overall the servers were easy to get to and helpful. They were even wandering on the pool deck as well.

We spent a good amount of time in the R Bar, as our rooms were on deck 4. I personally felt that one of the bartenders there was somewhat dismissive once he knew about the drink package. I may have misread him but he was the only one I felt this way about.

We were happy with the food and thought Windjammer had a nice selection and of course loved Park Cafe. Dining room meals were standard Royal Caribbean fare.

We had a group of 23 and this was our 6th 3 nighter out of PC on Royal in 7 years. We will miss Enchantment next summer!

  4. Just home from Freedom as well. We (group of 6) used Mark Morris to go to the falls and also did river tubing. It was excellent. He also took us to Scotchie's for lunch which was awesome. Mark gave us a lot of local insight and we had a great time. Highly recommend.
