In Portland you will be right downtown and within walking distance of the area known as the Old Port. There you will find cobblestone streets, lots of bars, restaurants, galleries and some shopping. http://www.whatsinport.com/Portland-Maine.htm

My 18 was allowed in the teen group, he just had to bring his high school ID to show he was still a student. That was two years ago though, so the rule may have changed.

My husband and I booked 7459 for April 2017 and I'm dying to see some interior photos!!!

35 days until my first NCL cruise ~ Breakaway to Bermuda!!

Great review! I love toddler humor so I'm in for the long haul.

For me, it's definitely ..
1. Ocean Blue
2. Teppanyaki
3. Le Bistro
Been to all three multiple times and felt the quality of food is definitely on par with what you pay for. I also like Cagney's and the Churraschuria but honestly the steak that I get when I eat the Haven Restaurant (which you need to be a guest on the Haven or a special guest of NCL to access), I was less inclined to do any of the "meaty" options myself. But that's just me. :)
Ocean Blue was pretty awesome .. reminded me of some of the really nice seafood joints I visit on land ...
Thank you! Le Bistro is my first choice and Moderno is my husband's first choice. [emoji57]

Ocean Blue and Moderno were my favorites. Standout food at both. Do not miss the cheesy buns at Moderno. They are addictive and so delicious. All the other restaurants were good but these were the top 2.
Cheesy buns have been added to my list of must haves!

Thank you all for the input! I have definitely taken La Cucina off my list. Right now I'm thinking of doing Le Bistro, Moderno and Cagney's. We've done the "onion volcano" bit and we love seafood (duh, right, we're from Maine) but have never done the whole meat until you flip your card thing. I really appreciate all the help! [emoji4]

My husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary on the Breakaway in June. This will be our first cruise with NCL. We have the UDP and purchased the specialty dining package for 3 nights. What would your three choices be? What are your favorite meals in those restaurants? Just as an FYI, we are not picky eaters, are both adventurous and willing to try new foods and live in a small, rural town so we don't have many options for fine dining. Thanks in advance for your help!

How about Bermuda ? we will be in port for three full days ??
I'd like to know this too! [emoji15]

Hi Birman, thanks. How did you find for Elbow beach, and how do I make reservation and do you know if it includes lunch. Cocoreef includes lunch.
I saw this on resortforaday.com, not sure if that is where the op saw it and it doesn't include lunch...the menu on the website is a bit pricey. Hope this helps.

That was my understanding as well...no commission has been paid. She is fine with me switching, she was just unsure if there is anything she needs to do for it to be allowed.

Has anyone ever changed TA's after a reservation has been made? My agent is phasing out booking cruises and we have an existing reservation with her (3 cabins on the Vista, April 2017) and I'm worried that she is going to get done before my sail date gets here. Is there any way to switch agents after it's been booked? I can't cancel and rebook because it is an early saver. Help?!

OMG! How embarrassing. We started a fire in our cabin in the middle of the night on our first cruise 20 years ago. YIKES!!! Caused quite a stir to say the least. Might be a good story to share if we make it to the meet and greet. LOL

Kathy, where in northern Maine do you live? I'm in Caribou!

For those of you that have been, is there other food options to buy on the island? One daughter is a vegetarian and the other (15 yo) looked at a photo of the lunch and said "I don't think so". We are going and I can certainly bring snacks but it could be a long day if everyone is hungry.

This happened to my DD and a friend we brought with us. They allowed the friend to move down to circle c but wouldn't consider moving my DD up to the older group. In my experience the kids only use the clubs as a meeting place and then do their own thing after the first night any way :)

Oh no!!! Sorry to hear that. I mentioned our "luck" with hurricanes/tropical storms in an earlier post while on vacation or interrupting vacations - at least 7 including an evacuation (Floyd, Hilton Head, SC - 1999), riding one out before mandatory evacuation became the norm (Bob, Nags Head, NC - 1991). We also refer to our luck with that as our "black cloud". DH would like to go on a cruise in September...I say "No way". Hopefully your weather will be better next time.
I can't blame you, that's terrible! After the never ending winter we are having I would take the steady rain in the Caribbean without a mutter of complaint ( but I really hope it's sunny and 80 ) ;)

We went in April when it was the Victory doing that itinerary and it rained every day...not quick showers but steady rain. We almost always cruise during our kid's April break and it's the first time we've experienced bad weather. By the end we joked that there was a back cloud traveling over the ship with us from port to port!

My favorite is the Legend. I loved the layout and it's bright and open feeling.
My least favorite is the Glory. I just hated the layout. I'm going on the Breeze on Easter Sunday so we will see if my favorite changes.
