Just returned Sunday. I've gotta`say the ship was in really great condition, even better than I expected. And the port intensive itinerary does make a difference in the fact that some of the newer Carnival amenities like alternative restaurants are not available. We really enjoyed the ship again, having been on her previously when she was brand new.

Kim, did you ever check out/research the Marriott in St. Kitts as an option for your beach day? Trying to decide between Carambola and Marriott. Last time there, we did the train ride and tour option through the ship so this time we just want a beach day there. I have read some things in the St. Kitts Port of Call section here on Cruise Critic but value your opinion if you have one.

Not all inclusive but did you check out Resort For a Day dot com?

Oh I wish you hadn't shown the future cruise paper! You have put ideas in my head! Hawaii on the Miracle and Southern on the Vista sound absolutely wonderful. And I didn't even go on the Fascination yet. Wondering if I could get 15 days off work. Too many vacations, too little time.

So glad to see you doing a Fascination review. We always seem to be just a step behind you. Went on the Getaway and Pride soon after you did and got the benefit of your informative and well written reviews on those. Going on Fascination in October so now tuning in every day for this one. Excited to read the rest!

Thanks for your reply, pghsteelerfan. I take a Bonine tablet every day when we're cruising so hopefully that will be enough to help with the speed boat bumps too! Your pictures and review were wonderful so i think we're going to book the beach break tour.
By the way, we're Steeler fans too! We live in northeastern Pennsylvania. Hoping for a good season this year!

How was the speed boat ride coming and going on the Jalousie Beach Break tour? Wondering if me or my son will get seasick on a small speed boat.

To OP....we have a special needs son and have stayed in a Grand Suite in which we were able to dine in the cabin ordering from the dining room menu. We were also given priority embarkation and debarkation which is wonderful with our special kids. However, the Grand Suites are just 1 big room so I don't think that would work for you.
Also I hope you won't take to heart unkind comments made here on Cruise Critic as well as on the cruise itself. We get the same attitude. These people are quick to judge when they should thank their stars it isn't them.

Our son drinks rice milk. We bring our own individual size milks on board. If we fly, we have to pack them in checked luggage as they are more than 3 oz but we just surround them with some clothes and bathing suits in the suitcase and have never had any problem with them busting open.

We are staying in a Grand Suite and would like to book a cabana on Labadee. Which area is nicer-----Nellies Beach or Barefoot Beach? And why? We were originally considering an over the water cabana on Nellies but then heard about Barefoot Beach and now don't know what to do. Thanks for any help or advice!

You won a cruise? How did you do that? Was it something at the casino you entered? That is so exciting!

Go to the Swizzle Inn for the original and BEST rum swizzle. But take bus or taxi. No driving mopeds after rum swizzles!

--Did the air conditioning go off when you took your card out of the slot on the wall or just the lights? If the air went off too, was it warm in there when you came back at night?

Hi Mitsugirlys:
A few things:
--This is a great review. We're strongly considering the Getaway for autumn 2014 so this is great info.
--You look more like sisters with Kendra and Courtney than mom! I'm jealous!
--LOVE the ring. I like to get jewelry or other gifts while on a cruise or on an island. Then it is a remembrance to me of that trip every time I look at it. Better memories than getting it at the mall. :)
--Where do you find the crepes you've been talking about? Are they at the buffet? Or at one of the restaurants?

Thank you to those of you who offered help. My ship is the Getaway. My question was based on a recent post of a spreadsheet to help passengers decide if UBP was right for them. With variables like 20% off Ocean Blue and some sort of offer for first night Illusionarium I was thinking if such a spreadsheet existed it would be an aid for me. I am sorry if I offended anyone with the question or with my poor math skills. Please just ignore question. I will be more careful if I should post in the future.

I would love to give my travel business to someone local just for the sake of supporting local businesses but no local TA can seem to match the price and OBC and upgrades I get from my online TA.

Any simple "formula" to determine whether UDP would be worth it? Like a minimum number of specialty restaurants we need to visit to break even or get ahead? I know this shouldn't be so difficult to figure out but I could use some ncl cruisers help. :)
Fascination American Table Menu

Yep. I can confirm. We just got off the Fascination Sunday and were told our sailing was the last for the old menus and this week's sailing would be getting the new ones.
