Is it cheaper to book a massage in advance with the 20% off, or wait until we are on the ship and do the port day special?
What have been your experiences?

My family and I will be in Curaçao with a late arrival. We will be there from 1:30-10:30. We are all adults, no children.
Any recommendations on what to do? We would like to have a little beach time, watch the sunset and do some sightseeing. We just don’t know the best beaches or say, if it is feasible to walk through downtown from the ship or would we have to take a cab?
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

There is a place called The Wet and Wild Beach Club that we ere looking in to. We have a late arrival time so we can’t decide if we want to try and go to the beach for a bit or just call it good with a little sightseeing and going to the beach club.

$198 for those wondering.

Go to your online booking page - open cruise details, select the My Billing tab.
There is a link to click toward the bottom "Is there a penalty for cancelling this booking"
and there is my answer! thank you so much!

Early Saver. I have not made final payment, just the deposits.

My daughter announced today that she will be joining the Air Force. I am very happy for her and the choice she has made. Just sad she can't join us on our upcoming cruise.
A simple question; if I already have her and a friend booked in a cabin and it is before final payment date, is there a penalty for cancelling the cabin?
Thanks!

Check out the area as your sipping on a drink after 700 at night when the area is opened up to everyone on the ship. Hopefully the pros of the area will outweigh any negative aft feelings she has. Especially since it's not sardine city like near the main pool and no under 12 rug rats during the day.
I love that idea. Sell her on it in the evening and on our next sailing we can stay there. The thought of having such a small segment of people would be great and it would also be nice because you get to know the people you are 'living' with for a week. I really like the fact that it is only for 12 and older... wish it was 18! I'm not looking forward to the main pool madness on the 3 sea days, but I'll probably just be sipping my rum drink while people watching.

Congratulations. Did you go Havana?
I didn't go Havana because I had explicit instructions when originally booking that she was adamant about being mid-ship. She definitely did not want Aft. Now if it was TOTALLY up to me, Havana Cabana suite it would have been. Maybe I can convince her for next time!

Just booked the suite... now I have a year to keep it a secret!

Currently you can get 20% off of spa services if booked in advance.
I know on port days, they usually have a port day special for the spa.
Which one do you think would be most cost effective?

Another vote for the Boatyard. Went there on our last cruise and the atmosphere and location is pretty decent. Drinks and food are good as well. Water toys, pier to swing off of, and perfect water makes for a wonderful day.

I am going to go for it! I have 2 other cabins on the booking so I will get FTTF for those, and she should be none the wiser. Thank you all for your feedback and comments! She is gonna be super surprised.

I like the idea of some champagne waiting. She would love that. I'm pretty sure I can pull this off because she does nothing with the management of the trip... I handle everything, she just tells me what she wants to do.
Thank you!

I'm thinking of surprising my wife with a suite on our upcoming Horizon cruise in 2019.
Has anyone else successfully pulled this off without the person knowing until super close to sailing time? I figure she will find out eventually, however, I am the one who handles anything cruise or trip related.
Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

I had the same question. I sail on 5/18/2019 on the Horizon and the shore excursions have not opened up yet. I'm waiting patiently... if that means checking twice a day!

Yes you can you need their booking number. Add the cruise to your online account manager and from there you can add it online as a gift

I actually helped with booking their cruise, so I do have their booking number. Awesome!

Spend the money on some onboard credit for them, imho, they'll appreciate it more.
Thanks,
Fred
That’s an idea too.

What a nice idea! I cannot answer your question, but would suggest calling Carnival and asking.
Thank you!

Can you purchase FTTF for someone else’s cabin as a present? I would like to surprise my in-laws.

I understand the fares are regulated and was wondering if anyone recently has taken a taxi ride from the pier to the Hard Rock Cafe? If so, how much was it?
Thanks!

My daughter is in college and that is her spring break week. We are in Southern Oregon.

Couples Massage Booked- Some Questions
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I have booked a couples massage on the Horizon. I am not in a spa cabin. I am curious what other amenities are included with the massage? I saw a room on a video tour of the spa and it looks to be the VIP suite, but I don’t see where to reserve that kind of room for the massage?
Any insights, pointers, tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated! 😀
