every cruise, they are our new best friends,,,,,no matter who they are. They are outstanding

yes you can.....BUT!!! When you do that, you are not rewarding the team that clear the tables in the buffet, or the team that set the tables, or the folks who re-stock all the bars, or the team that support your cabin steward. Yes you can, but you stiff a lot of staff that rely on the tips for their income...Please advise you friend prior to her making that decision.

There are three levels on a ship..,,buffet….MDR ..Steakhouse. Last cruise we dined in the Steakhouse 5 times. Loved every meal. PS, the free bottle of wine? it is free for a reason! YUCK.

There are a ton of young managers looking to make a name for themselves in Miami who propose more an more cuts they are working towards a Promotion, bonus, salary increase! Look at the polls John H constantly ask. Most are designed to see if their customer base will object to specific cuts. DO NOT GIVE THEM MANY MORE IDEAS!!!
You will notice, there are few, very few, enhancements that benefit the customers

LOL it was a general comment. I am quite sure that folks in say, Minnesota , do not wear flip flops to church in January!
We to see shorts, etc at Mass. Worry not, I am not saying you cannot wear your flip flops (with rhinestones glued on them (LOL) to the MDR.

Food: except for the truly upper tier of cruiselines, it is one of the 1st things that get cut. As for entertainment, Royal shows are far superior to other major cruise lines. HAL can be boring and we have found the food to be very bland (maybe to not offend the older palete?).

Dress codes have been relaxed. They prefer no jeans or shorts for dinner. If you follow the guideline of what you would wear to, let's say, church you will be fine.

WINE STEWARDS. PAY FOR DRINKS WITH CASH. CD STANDING ON THE PIER GETTING HIS "%" FROM EACH TOUR OPERATOR AND SHOPS IN ENVELOPES. THE SENIOR OFFICERS SHARING A DINING TABLE WITH VARIOUS GUESTS THROUGHOUT THE CRUISE. NO TV'S ANYWHERE ONBOARD. LIMITED ENTERTAINMENT. COAT AND TIE FOR DINING (ENFORCED). NO BUFFET. Yes, lots have changed!

I can only comment on several ports and depatures, but they will turn you away at the terminal.

Sorry, know the folks that were there....no, not a rumor, not a made up story.
-
Only one suggestion. Be careful around other people Folks today tend to be highly self-centered, rude and you may find yourself getting shoved, pushed, banged into...Protect that leg! Especially around an elevator....all rational behavior disappears when it comes to getting on or off elevators.

Every one talking about dogs....Some with erroneous information: Yes, certification of service dogs is not a violation of the owner's rights to ask. Next, service dogs will have specific "coat" worn while in public areas. Next, islands..those dogs could be quaranteed if they leave the ship…..again, not all service dogs are permitted, it is an individual country's regulations.
To those that are not bothered.....go back to the "final Straw" the made Royal finally take the action: The lady whose dog took a poop at the guest services desk and walked away. If you are not bothered, watch where you step!

Clarea, you just stuck fear and terror into our hearts!

Just finished book Liberty of the Seas, ONLINE! No glitches, snafus, errors or disconnects. I know, hard to believe. It worked....Now I have to hope the IT folks do not lose the reservation.

You may be allowed into the terminal early, but if they are not ready for boarding, you will sit. So be sure you have your cell phone in your reservation. If there is a delay, they will text you or you can check facebook, John Heald with pass on information regarding unscheduled delays in boarding

I see your point but you are missing a few keys. If you eat breakfast, you have staff that share in the tips...the staff that fill the glasses, the staff the clean the tables, etc. We too now only dine in either Chops or Giovanni's but we leave the tips. The folks that back up the bartenders....clean glasses, more beer, restock the lemons and limes, etc. Just easier to not worry about being fair.

Not even on LOS yet and MJ has come thru like a champ already!

We sail both lines. Head over to Carnival boards, there seems to be a lot of negative comments about Vista

That hits the number we use!

Just a bit more info. The entrance to the Cigar bar is a DOUBLE door, thus there is no direct exit for smoke.
Also, smoking on your balcony is now a $250.00 cleaning fee, a visit by security and any other reaction the ship (captain) decides, so consider not doing it.

Gigi65 ditto!!!!!!!!!

Trying to find the right words to describe your work...can only say "wow"

No matter how you cut it, if you self-disembark, you cannot, in any way shape or form, be able to swiftly team up. Get the same tags, check you luggage (outside the door) and roll with the flow
