We are doing this tour at the end of our cruise in March. With a 5pm flight it seems ideal. Did something similar at Houston with a trip to NASA.

We are on the cruise on Infinity from Chile that ends on April 2nd and have been keeping an eye on the propulsion problems currently being experienced. Hoping that it does not adversely affect us too much.
It sounds like the dry dock is required but really feel for those missing their cruise.

Not for us this one. When we booked in August we got a balcony upgrade and cheap flights. My TA says that the same cruise would now cost me £1000 more! An upgrade to Concierge class would cost us £1500. It's just not worth it for the perks.

We sailed on a Baltic cruise recently and had no problems what so ever with St Petersburg. Obviously if the situation escalates that could change. My In-laws, on the other hand, are booked on the Connie for a Black Sea Cruise in a few weeks and their itinerary has changed completely. Out went all of the Ukraine stops which were replaced with more Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey ports. They were offered a full refund but decided to go with it anyway.

We have chosen to stay in a 2c Veranda cabin on deck 6. We originally chose one on the port side, but have now changed to one on the starboard side, so would certainly be upset if Celebrity started changing sides for the smoking area!

Thanks Guys.

I have searched for and found many threads regarding this subject but am yet to find a clear answer. Not all Solstice Class ships seem to be the same and I need information specific to the Silhouette. So the simple questions is:
On the Silhouette there is a smoking section on the promenade area of deck 5. Is it on the port or starboard side?
I thank you.

Just got back from a Baltic cruise on Legend of the Seas. No immigration forms were required for SPB.

Just got back from our fabulous Baltic cruise. We took a copy of this walking tour for Tallinn and have to say that it was brilliant. It is a lovely town, our favourite on this cruise.

Hi Paula.
We will be in Tallin in a couple of weeks and would love if you could send us a copy.
Many thanks

In July we are sailing on the Legend of the Seas, and disembark at sometime after 7am on Sunday 27th July. Our flight is not until 6.10pm. RCI do not appear to be offering any trips including transfer to the airport as we have done on other cruises. As we do not wish to spend all day at the airport we are looking at what we can do. Possibilities:-
1) Early transfer to the airport, drop off luggage, take express train back to town for sightseeing.
2) Transfer to the rail station, leave luggage there if possible, do sightseeing, take express train to the airport.
Are the options viable? Does anyone have any other suggestions on how we can do this?
Many thanks

I had the same issue with the Baltic cruise we are going on. 3 weeks after we booked they came up with a better promotion. My TA went back to RCI but they said I could not benefit. I then posted my issue on the RCI Facebook page and they said that I could cancel my existing booking to take advantage of the promotion but I would lose my deposit. This made it a no go.

We heard the same when booking our Baltic cruise through Royal Caribbean, but after consulting the boards here on CC it was plainly not the case. We contacted many of the local tour companies who all provided assurances that they provide the required visas.
For information regarding private tour companies you may wish to look at this thread:

There are also numerous reviews of the companies on TripAdvisor:
Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise.

No port was missed, but the order of the cruise was:
2 sea days
Roatan
Belize
Cozumel
1 sea day
(This by the way is the itinerary order listed in the Cruise Atlas)
This was the original itinerary posted when this cruise was due to sail from Galveston. When it changed to Houston the order was changed to its current one.

I have read reviews on TripAdvisor where people have ordered off Frenchy's 44 menu and it has been shipped over on the Ferry. They have had a bit of wait though. As others have said just email them as they are very helpful. Whatever you do just relax. You'll love it.

We were on this cruise last week, and so far are one of the only ones to get away reasonably on time, stop at all the advertised ports, and get back on time. This itinerary seems dogged with problems of one kind or another.

If you go to the jungle areas you may get mosquitos so be prepared. Some beaches do get sand fleas, but generally towards sunset or after rain. Don't let it stop you though.
cflower we are on the same cruise. This is a graduation present for our daughter. Does your tour group need to grow in size. We will be looking to go through a private tour company also. Open to options. Can't wait.
Hi there. Great to see someone else on our cruise. We have started a roll call but it's a little lonely over there. Why not come over and join us! -
We're sailing on the 20th July! I've contacted SPB Tours several times and they've been really good to reply. Just booked our 2 day tour.
Will I have to pay tax on this wine on arrival in Texas?
-
Can you not buy some at Heathrow duty free when leaving? Unless you have a car there is not much around IAH. You could always grab a taxi from airport to a liqueur or grocery store and back but the cost would prob outweigh the cost of just buying it on board.
Sent using a small piece of fruit.
Thanks. We did think of that, but were hoping to take some Champagne for New Years Eve. Not sure if it will be allowed in hand luggage, or how it would behave. Don't want it exploding!
-
It's worth a go. Thanks for your help.

We are flying into IAH from London and staying at the Marriott on site before transfer to Bayport the next day. We would like to take our allowed 2 bottles of wine on board, and would like to know if there is anywhere to buy some at the airport, hotel or the port. Many thanks.

We were booked for the Xunantunich ruins. However, you have to cross a river to get there and, with the rain, the river was running too high.
We have a long river boat cruise to get to Lamanai so hopefully there will not be too much rain.
Port shuttle in Manta, Equador?
in South America
Posted
We stopped at Manta on our recent cruise. The port is industrial and walking is not allowed. Two shuttles were available: one went to the port entrance for easy access to taxis or a short walk to the beach, the other to a busy square with a tourist market and some bars/restaurants. Not our favourite port.
