  1. Yes, thank you! I did see your link but we aren’t looking at spending the whole day at the match. However, knowing prices are so high in Bermuda, maybe it’s not such a bad idea. I was just wondering if it’s even possible to go for 2-3 hours just to experience it? My plan was to do the Match in the morning, look around St George and then walk to St Catherine and Tobocca Beach. Thoughts? 🙂

  2. We will be in Bermuda for the Cup Match. Our plan was to go to St George and check it all out on the Thursday....buy a ticket and watch for a few hours. We know nothing about cricket (except the match lasts days) or this event, but I know it will be busy. Is this even possible?? TIA for any help 🙂

  3. Is there Chairs and umbrella's for rent at Vigie Beach? entrance fee? Is it rocky? deep or shallow entrance to the ocean? we have a large group of different ages...

Yes, there are chairs and umbrellas for rent. We negotiated a price with one of the vendors. There is no entrance fee. It is a shallow entrance...easy to get in and out :)

  4. We took the bus to Mullet Bay....loved it there....super calm and a great beach for kids (although I think it depends on the time because I’ve been there years ago and it was not so calm). Then we walked to Maho Beach (about 15min) and watched the planes :)

  5. We have been to Barbados many times and always walk to Carlisle Bay...it’s a flat leisurely 3km walk...once we get to the beach, we walk along the water down to Harbour Lights area. From here, we swim out to the turtles....if you’re a decent swimmer, it’s very doable and the tours all feed the turtles so you’re pretty much guaranteed to see the turtles! Save your $20 from the tour and buy some cold beers instead :) On the walk back to the ship, we stopped at the bar right near the bridge over the canal to have a drink. Barbados is my favourite port!

  6. We were just on the Jewel Tour on Aug 7th and had a fantastic day! I loved Dominica. The people were super friendly and the tour was well worth the $52 (including admissions). I received an email from them a day or two after the PayPal transaction. 😍

  7. You should be able to purchase the SDP when logged into your reservation on the NCL site.

Interesting. I can't. I only have options for each individual restaurant. I don't care, because we only want to eat at Cagneys for specialty dining, but it's weird that I don't have the option.

  8. A while back, I read that Cagneys was switching to a la carte pricing but I haven't seen any info recently about it. Has it happened? Anyone have the info?? Just wondering what to expect when we are on the Getaway in March. Cagneys is the one specialtyrestaurant that my husband wants to try! Thanks in advance for any help :)

  9. We stayed in a balcony room for all of our cruises except our last cruise we had an Oceanview (on a Carnival ship, lowest deck) and honestly I can't see myself going back to a balcony for the extra money. I've booked room 5208 for our upcoming Norwegian getaway cruise. Of course, everyone has different opinions because they spend their time differently. We spend very little time in our room. Enjoy your cruise!

  10. Thank you to those who replied! We have an 11:15am flight from FLL and I have read that I will never make my flight....but as long as nothing crazy happens, I can't see why we wouldn't be off the ship by 8:30 and at FLL by 9:15. We plan on taking a taxi so we won't have to wait for a shuttle. I know there are A LOT of ppl here who say 11:15am is way too early....but it's booked and I am happy to hear of people who actually are off the ship by 8/8:30 :)

  11. We got a couple chairs and an umbrella at Lobsters Alive. It got really busy, but the water and sand are beautiful and you can swim out to snorkel with the turtles right from here. Many of the tour boats that charge $20 go out here but you can swim there for free. It really isn't that far out at all. :) there were bathrooms and drinks right here as well....or you could walk a very short distance for MUCH cheaper beer (looking at the water, it was to the left of lobster alive) and bring it back to your chair :)
