I was poking around on Hotwire today and for SJ resorts it offered me one for $102 and under amenities it listed "close to a golf course." Anybody have a clue as to which resort that might be ?
There should be more amenities listed other then just "close to a golf course".
Also i think betterbidding dot com is a wonderful resource site to help identify hotels on Hotwire.
Just booked one night post-cruise Sheraton Old San Juan last night. I was pretty confident that the hotel would be the Sheraton and it was. I didn't want to risk Priceline so I settled on Hotwire. Sheraton's location seems ideal right near the port; no taxi cost.

What did you bid to get the Conrad? Number of Stars or Resort? I think from reading the website that the 14% resort fee is based on the amount that you paid. You got a good deal because looking on their website for 12/9 it was going to cost me almost $300 after taxes, etc.
My first bid was $80 Resort. Rejected. Then I did $85 and added an area without Resort. Accepted.

Got the Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza for $85 per night Aug 18-21.
Can someone confirm that we will have to pay the 14% resort fee during our stay?
Also, this maybe a silly question but ... is it 14% of what I paid thru Priceline or listed rack rate? Just want to know up front.
Now, i gotta decide whether to roll the dice for 1-night post-cruise. I am leaning towards Sheraton Old San Juan for $88 + tax thru hotwire. Don't really want to chance getting Condado area again, or dealing with taxi to get from dock to hotel.
Thanks
