  1. Hello Everyone,

I am hoping someone out there can help me out.  I have been on the phone pretty much all day with RCCL.  We had booked 6 Balcony rooms next to one another, which we do every year.  I went to print out the luggage tags and noticed two rooms had been moved about 6-8 rooms away from the other 4 rooms.  I went back and did some research while on the phone and noticed only one room was moved back in July as far as I could tell and the other just recently at the end of November.  They are saying its CDC/Covid protocols, but then say if we are family it would be okay, which we are, but are refusing to open the two rooms back up.  They keep talking in circles and say that they sent an email, twice today and once back when they did it.  I never received said email and I get all their emails, trust me on this.  The supervisor could not even tell me the details on the protocols, when they went into effect, etc..   So I am wondering if anyone else has more than four rooms booked together or has ran into this problem and knows of this being a real actual protocol? Don't get me wrong, I am all for following the rules but they did not bother to contact us to one let us know, or two as us even who they would like us to move.  Originally the moved a set of parents away from the teen kids.

    Thank you all in advance.

  2. hello,

we are going on RC Allure over Xmas/NYE. Well be in St. Kitts from 7am-5pm. I have me and my hubby (47) my four kids ( 18, 16, 8 & 6) and possibly my mom. We have never been to St. Kitts and I was wondering if anyone can help with what beach would be best with my kids, who will want to snorkel and a place with changing rooms/bathrooms/chair rentals etc.... would be best but not necessary.

If there are other options with my family please let me know.

Thanks so much for all your input.

  3. Hello,

We are a family of 47, 47, 17, 16, 8 & 6 and we are only in port from 7am until 1pm on RCCI in July which means well have to be back to ship 12-12:30. Don't want to just walk around for history stuff because little ones would be bored. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

  4. Hello,

We are a family of 8 (84, 84, 46,46, 17,15,7,& 5). We are looking to go on a longer than 7 night cruise ( which we've done on Allure and Oasis and a few other smaller ships) over Xmas/NYE. We don't want a smaller ship like The Serenade and we want to leave out of FL and not NY or Baltimore because well loose a day or two each way due to cold weather. So we are left with:

Navigator 11 night Southern (Miami, Bonaire, Aruba, Antigua, St. Kitts, PR and Haiti)

    OR

Allure 10 night Eastern ( Ft. Lauderdale, Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, PR & Haiti)

Please let me know your thoughts keeping in mind ages of our kids.

Thank you so much for your input and opinions it is very much appreciated!

  5. Hello,

We are looking at booking another cruise over 2016 Xmas Holiday Season. We are looking at Serenade 10 night Southern or Allure 10 Eastern. My concern is that the Serenade will be too small as they are love love love the Allure and Oasis. The Serenade is small and doesn't seem to have as much to do but would love to visit the southern Caribbean this time. We have kids 17. 15. 7 & 5. Please let me know your opinions if you have sailed either one with kids.

    Thanks

  7. Hello,

I realize this has been posted before and I have read all of them concerning this. We are going on Allure to St. Marteen with my DH and four kids ( 17, 15, 7 & 5). The excursions that Royal offers are really not long enough since we are there from 8am - 5pm ( probably have to be back at 4pm). So didn't want to waste $$ on a 3 or 4 hour thing.

My question: Which do you think is better, Bernards Tours or Captain Bobs tours. Bernard is about 1/2 the price of Bob and they go to a few different places. So with our age range which do you recommend and why?

    Thank you all ;)

  8. Hello,

We are going on a cruise over Xmas or NYE and are doing Royal as we love it. We have been on the Oasis and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We are a family of 8, me and hubby, 4 kids ( 16, 14, 6, & 4) and my parents and possibly his as well. I understand the Navigator had a lot of upgrades in 2014. We have been on the itinterary that the Allure does over either week but the Navigator has a few different places to visit. My one concern is that the Navigator does not have a splash zone for my little ones which they revel in. Please let me know your own experiences and thoughts. Oh and what is entertainment like on Navigator as my parents and his enjoyed that on Oasis.

Thank you all for your time in responding.

  9. Hello,

We have been on several Royal cruises the latest being the Oasis and we all loved it. Last year we all went on the Norwegian Getaway and loved it as well. We wish we could put some of the getaway features with the Oasis features and have it all but we can't. We are going on another cruise end of the year and wanted to originally go on Royal. It is me, my hubby, 4 kids (16, 14, 6 & 4) and my parents. I was looking at the Allure as we did the Oasis and absolutely loved it kids and all. However we have been everywhere this ship goes during the kids winter break. They say they don't care because they love the ship but it would be nice to go somewhere else as long as the ship was somewhat compatible with Royals. So my question, I was looking at Princess and I am wondering if anyone with a family with kids teens and younger have sailed with them and your experiences. I am worried it just does not have that much to do as they are used to these big ships now. Thank you for your input and help, it is greatly appreciated.

  10. Hello,

We are going on the Norwegian Getaway and will be in St. Maarten from 8am - 6pm ... I have been reading lots of boards on what beach to go to but I am so confused on what would be best ... We are a family of 6 ( Mom & Dad, kids ages 16,14,6, &4) As much as I would like a quiet relaxing beach my kids would get bored with that in a couple of hours, so would like the beautiful beach and view along with things for the kids to do especially the older ones. Also any shopping places would be appreciated as well.

Thank you to all for your help and responses.

  11. Hello,

We are looking at booking the Norwegian Getaway during the kids winter/holiday break. We have 4 kids 16, 14, 5, & 4, me and hubby and my parents. We have been on several RCI cruises over Xmas and have really enjoyed them. There were plenty of kids for all of the kids, teens and little ones for our kids to become friends with. So here is my question, we are thinking of doing the cruise over NYE this year for a change but thought possibly there would be a lot less kids, teens etc… on the NYE cruise and more adults.

Can someone let me know their experiences on NYE cruises vs. Xmas ones?

    Thank you.

  13. Hello,

After much research our group (ages 3-83) decided to do Hilton Rose Resort in Falmouth Jamaica thru Jamaica for a day .com … HOWEVER …. I cannot seem to find the website anymore and when I try it, it redirects me to resortforaday.com.

Just wondering if this is just a name change so they are redirecting you or a possible scam or if anyone has booked thru them or know how to find Jamaica for a day???

Thank you to all for your help.
