My daughter is still waiting her new passport for a change to her married name. It might not get here before our September 4 cruise. It looks like according to the US Customs and Border Protection site that she can board a closed loop cruise using her enhanced driver’s license.

Has anyone done this that you are aware of?

Don’t forget original birth certificate too. All last names must match. If her driver’s license has her married name, she’ll also need her marriage certificate

For my upcoming cruise at the end of August the alcohol package has been $62 a day. This morning I checked and it’s up to $71 a day. Yikes… Is there any chance it will go down again? Anyone have this experience before? Thanks.

Keep checking there’s always a sale. Buy when you can and if it goes lower, cancel it and repurchase

    • Thanks 1
  3. Refundable deposits cost more for the cruise too.

on a recent booking, we had a deposit of $500.
if we wanted it to be a refundable deposit, it cost $328 more for the cruise.
so I saved $172 by not having a refundable deposit

of course, i have no intention of canceling and if Royal cancels, I get the deposit back anyway

  4. Please excuse my piggyback...

I was just going to ask a question myself,

are meals included on the land portion of the cruise tour? I see that most days you’re touring from 9-5. I’d like to think that they provide breakfast and lunch.
I wouldn’t mind dinner on our own

  5. Looking at booking one of the new cruises to Mexico from LA.
I see several balcony staterooms on deck 8 that are on the hump. These appear to be close to both the elevators (not an issue for us) and the opening of the Centrum.
Has anyone been in these staterooms and experienced excessive noise? Especially after 11:00pm

Thanks in advance for your input 😊

My other half doesn't drink, so any alcohol packages are a no go.  I'll have a glass of wine with dinner, and maybe a few hard ciders around the pool though.

If the Coco Beach Club was $47 or even $80 a person I'd probably go ahead and purchase those.

I'm ready to book the soda and streaming package when the price is right.  Otherwise I'll chance it and buy onboard.

You used to be able to book one alcohol package and one soda package if you called and spoke to client services and booked over the phone

  7. My husband and I are booked on the Serenade of the Seas 10 night Southern Caribbean cruise next April.

I've been looking at the shore excursions offered and I've found that both ATV excursions are requiring a $500 per person damage deposit

I've never had to put down a deposit when doing this type of excursion before.

Has anyone else experienced this ?? If you have, how did it work out ?
