Hello, I'm not so sure if I'm in the right place to post questions about our upcoming Avalon river cruise in May (A Taste of the Danube) since I can't seem to find another place specific for Avalon.

Our question is - The itinerary includes guided city tour in both Budapest and Vienna. Their itinerary does not tell you how long this tour will last and exactly what all the places we will visit. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I think we will go ahead and book the tour to see the rock and the island via the cruise line for convenience.

Does anyone know if there is transportation, besides car rental, that can take you from the port (where the cruise line docks) to Perce, where several local boats will take you cruising to the island?

Hello All - We will be visiting Gaspe with NCL in Sept and we're still trying to decide what to do there. We're thinking to rent a car (with Budget) and then drive to either Forillon National Park or Perce Rock, or possibly sign up with the cruiseline's shore excursions, if that's easier. Anyone has any recommendation or feedback between these 2 places? We both love nature, physically fit to do any sort of hiking/walking activities and wondering if we can just visit one, then which one would be the better option. Thanks!

We both are active and physically fit so sounds like do-it-your own city tour sounds like a plan or even a guided walking tour, but we will consider other options as well. Again, thanks!

Hello, if we want to do our own walking city tour of Halifax from the Port - is that doable? How far is it from the Port to downtown? Tried to do some internet searching for this topic, but did not find enough info. Thanks.
