I got my refund back yesterday. It took about 5 days to actually get it. 

I did rebook on another cruise but was I suppose to get 25% off the new cruise price or 25% off what my mardi gras cruise rate was? I have heard people say they got one over the other?

Remember, you do have to be playing in the Casino the enjoy those beverages.

I'm on the phone with someone else now. I always play in the casino at night so that's not a problem! I don't drink a lot but free drinks is a plus!

Yeah I just don't know if the balcony is worth more than the free drinks, LOL. 

The casino dept told me I couldn't keep my current promotion because it ended dec. 31st and I called them that night and they were already closed. I talked to one person and they wouldn't offer it even though I just booked this cruise and she she was shocked that they didn't give me the opportunity to do it when I booked it. I wonder if I should call back and see if they can honor it. I'm sure they won't but would be worth a shot I guess?

I need help deciding if I should keep my casino offer I booked under or upgrade to a balcony!! I booked an inside on deck 6 with $50 casino play and free drinks on us. I was going to use my 25% credit from my Mardi Gras cruise getting canceled to upgrade to a balcony and have $200 obc on this cruise plus a little refund for the price difference. What should I do?

Thanks for the review! We are sailing in January on the valor!! How bout them tigers!! Congrats to Burrow for getting the heisman trophy!! We sure do love our football. We always go out of nola and during football season it's always like that on the ship!! Hopefully we make it to the superbowl this year too, #whodat!!!! 

We got off yesterday and had a great time. Definitely needs to be updated here and there but didn't bother us. The ship was real clean and staff remembered your name. The food was good except on elegant night, you could tell they were busy.. but waiting 30 minutes for a drink to arrive was ridiculous. Prime rib was over cooked and all fat. I still had a great time. A cruise is what you make of it. No vacation is perfect.

I think it would be fine! I honestly enjoy the fantasy class ships just because of the layout and friendliness of the crew. The dream is great too. I would say it's probably more to do for an 18 year old on the dream than the Elation. I just got off the Elation Saturday and it wasn't a whole lot to do as in activities. I enjoy just laying on the deck on sea days and catch some sun and get in the pool or hot tubs. At night I love the comedy shows and watching the band. Piano bar is good on the Elation. The shows on the Elation are horrible so I wouldn't waste my time going to them unless they change them. I doubt they do anytime soon. I have been cruising on the elation for the past 4 years and all shows are the same. Good Luck and I am sure he would enjoy either one!

I was on the same cruise as well. The shows need to be changed. I have been on the elation for last 4 years and the shows are the same. It was a great cruise overall except the shows. The food has went down in quality some in my opinion but not bad enough to ruin the cruise. In Cozumel we went to Mr. Sancho's too. Had a blast and drink way too much!!

40 days until the Elation

You put everything on your card. Cash is only accepted for the casino, bingo, and pulltabs I believe.

We go on the same ships because we live less than 5 minutes from the port!!! I can't see paying for airfare when I can be on a ship in 5 minutes!!!

I want to be a newpid... LOL. You can add Brian and I (Rachel) to this cruise!! We have never done the southern caribbean and always wanted to!!

New Orleans is my favorite port to cruise from. Probably because its only a 5 minute drive for me!! I have to say I love living in a port city!!

WOW!! I would not have bought them. The pictuers are way overpriced anyway!! They should do a package like buy a whole background set for like $40 or $50. All they do is throw them in the garbage if you don't want any. I think they could sell more at a discounted price if they didn't print every picture someone has taken. They need to put a digital kiosk on everyship and you can print the photos you want to buy. It may be more work on their part but it would save them tons of money!!

I always wanted to know what that was also!! I guess I will have to ask in October on my next cruise (if they have it on the Ecstasy)!! Hopefully someone who knows what it is will tell us. I know its not a camera, they can't do that legally and get away with it. (I believe)

I had no idea that so many people took pictures of there toes!! I hate feet but yet I still take pictures of them!! LOL!! This was a really good thread to start:)

Yes, Carnival does have that on their facebook page!! I submit photos to them all the time of our cruises!! They have used and published 8 of them total on facebook:) I live on FB.....I have sent them well over 300 photos!! I was absolutely amazed that they have picked mine!! I always said they aint gonna pick my pictures they aint good enough:) But I guess i had good luck and so they picked some of them finally!!

I decided to do mine as the carnival colors!!
