  1. My original was canceled back in March 2020 when pandemic started to shut everything down. Waited and received FCC a month later in April 2020. Redeemed the FCC for Odyssey February 2021 which was canceled due to shipyard construction delay....paid a little more for that sailing. Then moved to Oasis February 2021 paid a little less and received a refund of the difference within a couple of days. Then it was canceled. So after that we just gave up. Decided to wait and see how things go whenever the industry gets back up and running before we book another one. It took about 75 days for our FCC to be converted to a credit card refund. I only had to call once.

  2. Our March 29 cruise got canceled on March 13....the 1st round....

I canceled our cruise planner purchases right when the announcement was made on March 13. Received those funds on March 20.

Got our FCC on April 10th....

Still waiting for the port fees and taxes. Booked Go Port package with hotel stay for the night before, still waiting.

I know there's a lot out there they are waiting for settlement, but my gosh. What a crazy time.

  3. Just chiming in.....

I booked the Steakhouse on Magic for January. Didn't prepay. Here's the confirmation I received....there's nothing in the email that prompted me on the dress code, but we've always worn dress slacks and collar shirts....

    Dear Jeffrey

Thank you for choosing Prime Steakhouse.

Should your plans change, please keep us advised at mcsupper@carnival.com

I will do my best to accommodate you at another time.

We look forward to serving you!

P.S. We are having a promotion in the Steakhouse Embarkation and first Cruise Elegant nights of the cruise!

  4. Was the staff rude and lacking knowledge and not smiling?

    How was your room guy?

Was the food on Lido awful?

    Did you have bed bugs?

Will you never sail Carnival again and go back to Royal?

:) I was gonna ask her the same thing! Glad you had a great cruise!

  5. We had a Cove twice...once on the Dream and once on the Breeze.

Loved it. It was great....like the other posters said, being close to the water is nice and the shade is nice.....

Hated the noise above in the kitchen galley. It wasn't too bad on the Dream, but on the Breeze, it was crazy....kept hearing things hit the floor. This was mostly at night. Other times, not bad.

Would I do it again, yes, but I would try another location away from the galley.

  6. I've been on both Dream and Breeze......I liked both, but Dream doesn't have the extra 2.0 places to eat. It was still a great ship and we enjoyed it. I personally like the decor better on the Breeze. Dream is fine, if its the ports of call you really want, then go for it. You'll be fine. Enjoy! :D

  7. My husband and I had a blast on the Freedom of the Seas....very cool staff....actually made friends with a very nice straight couple that we still keep in contact with today....you'll love it!

And as mentioned, just look for the posting near GS.....you can submit a post card and it will be posted. Nothing will be in the newsletter about an FOD. Enjoy!

  8. We really want to do the Hawaiian cruise but it's looking like we might being sailing out of New Orleans in January 2015. We we're on the Carnival Destiny this past December before it went into dry dock to become Carnival Sunshine. We want to cruise the Sunshine to see all of the changes! I even plan to book the exact same room. :)

We've decided to save the Hawaiian cruise for January 2016. We work in health care and work 3 days/week so taking up to 22 days off at a time isn't a problem for us.

We are doing the Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan in January 2014. Carnival Valor. I'm getting excited about this one!

I was looking at the Sunshine pics on the Carnival threads....looks really nice! Looks kind of like the Breeze which we are booked on for Feb. 2014. We are looking really hard at the Miracle though....I wanna do Hawaii!!!!
