  1. Can. Anyone tell me if you can change cabins once on the ship? I am reluctant to bid for an upgrade as I particularly want to stay on the starboard side. I realise you can’t have a say on where your cabin will be with the bidding process. Thank you

  2. Also on the Orion 21st October and have been told will be allocated cabin on embarkation. Think this is strange as Ship is full but have tickets and luggage labels so this must be the way Viking operate. This is our first experience with Viking.

  3. I checked the Port of Los Angeles' website and it does say Hertz and Enterprise are closed on Sundays. That is very odd for Los Angeles.

You can get SuperShuttle from the port to LAX, and rent a car there. The booking engine at SuperShuttle says the rate would be $32 for the first passenger and then $9 each additional person in your party. Their vans hold up to nine people.

The booking engine is at https://reservations.supershuttle.com/Default.aspx

Use a one-way trip to LAX, then "Residence / Business" as shown here: http://screencast.com/t/94xqWDPN For the zip code request on the next page, use 90731 and choose "San Pedro" as the location (not "Terminal Island"). They will give you several other options besides the "shared van" cost I quoted above if you want a private car service.

Long Beach Airport, LGB, is actually closer but SuperShuttle charges more to go there ($87).

    Thanks for that information

  4. we are arriving at the Cruise Terminal on the morning of Sunday the 13 March via NCL. Having trouble finding a car hire co., as the only two companies we can find who seem to serve the port are Enterprise and Hertz, both of them are closed on Sunday's . We wish to hire a car to drive up to San Fransisco and wish to drop of the car at the airport. any ideas? would be very grateful. Helen & Philip - England
