  1. going to ocho rios in April. it looks like we could book bamboo beach club for $15PP vs. $90 PP for Jewel Runaway Bay, both with transport included. But, would we have to pay for chairs @ Bamboo? Lunch? Drinks? So, can anyone give me approx prices? If I am paying $5/chair, $7 umbrella, $8 per drink x2, $10 for lunch, I am now at at least $50, so maybe Jewel is not such a bad deal after all? I looked at a few Utube videos and BBC looks like more of a loud, crazy atmosphere? Traveling party is Mom (me) grandma, teens 19, 18, 13. Anyone recommend Jewel/BBC? thanks, Elaine

I'm in the same boat. was considering Jewel resorts for our beach day, but they will be from approx. 10 -2:30pm. can't see that being worth almost $100 each no matter how nice. Trip Advisor reviews has Bamboo at $14 a person with a chair included. food is included with the tours; but those are $70 pp. so , i'm thinking the food and drinks are definately Not included.

  2. :D enjoy your vacation! the "season" is rapidly approaching! I had wanted to go to Univesal more than WDW but we were there the weekend Diagon Alley opened. The crowds looked worse than a Florida Wal-Mart during a Black Friday early Bird Special run.

I saw the pics! Argh! We were down in June and hoped to get some soft opens in art DA; massive fail there! We did stay at CB though; in one of the original little nemo rooms with that wallpaper. I'm deciding between ordering the all inclusive N/A drink package or the premium. I don't drink too much with any of the kids sound, but this time it's just myself and my 17 year old so considering whether I will drink the differences with of rum and boat drinks. I know I will kill the coffee and bottled water. Is Starbucks (lattitudes, whatever) included in the premium coffee package? I can't find a confirmation anywhere.

  3. Hi, thanks for the timely review! I have a few questions for you. We are father and son heading out on our "last" summer cruise by ourselves before college. Our schedule works best with this cruise. Sailed RCI on the Navigator and twice on the Radiance class ships out of Tampa. This will be (only slightly) the smallest and oldest ship we've been on. Trying to decide what cabin is a little challenging. We can do interior or Ocean view, likely don't see the value in the balcony on a 4 night cruise unless a rate drop happens. I'm a light sleeper so concerned about deck noise on 8, theater and club noise on 7 and 4. Not a big fan of being st the bottom of the skip but leaving that way right now. Recommendations? I suppose we will have to deal with the 2 ships at coco cay as well. Oh well, it's summer. Deciding on s beach day or activity for Nassau also. Usually stay on the ship here, but don't want to waste the day as we will probably have just enough time to explore on the sea day and first 2 anyway. Might splurge for Atlantis aquaventure since we are in port for the whole day until midnight. Strangely enough, I have always seen this cruise as a sea day for the last day. Most places have it listed as such, except for RCIs mobile site and AAA which list the last day acc Grand Bahama Island (not Freeport though) wondering? If not Atlantis, thinking right now either BC Hilton or Melia for a resort beach day. Feedback?
