I’m posting my question here because our roll call is not very active. How far is the port of Kyoto to the city centre? We have friends who live there and would like to meet them for dinner the night we overnight there. Is it easy to get a taxi at the port to take us into the city? All help is appreciated.

Most excursions are booked before final payment is due. I would think that many excursions will open up after final payment and wait lists will be cleared.

Where are the available cooking classes listed? We are on the Voyager on March 15.

In addition, don't forget there is no guarantee you will get the same flight on a different day plus there is the possibility you will be charged an additional fee for your flight. The closer you get to your fight date the more likely your price will increase.
Each deviation is a new process to go thru just like the previous one. As was said, make up your mind in the beginning and stick with it. And since the fee includes either one way or both ways, again make the deviation and stick to it as the changes can be extremely expensive in addition to the deviation fee. Plus the deviation fee is per person.
And don't believe there is any written policy to be found on the website. Asking the question here is the best way.
We are doing the Amazon cruise from Rio to Miami in March 2023. There are no direct flights from Toronto to Rio. We knew we would have at least one stopover, but wanted to avoid 2 of them. We also wanted a direct flight home from Miami. Our travel agent found us the best possible flights and submitted these to the air deviation department and the flights were approved. I did learn that while the flights from Toronto to Rio are in business class, the flight from Miami to Toronto is in economy. This is because it is not considered an international flight even though Canada and the US are two distinct different countries.

My sympathies to your husband. I had my first kidney stone 1 week before I was to leave for a land tour of Macchu Pichu. Actually, the kidney stone saved my life because while the stone was in my left kidney, they discovered a renal cell carcinoma in my right kidney. I later had my right kidney removed.
In any case, the doctor wrote a note that it was unadvisable to travel. My travel insurance covered all costs, but it took time and filling out all the paperwork was a pain. -
Thank you. We would have US dollars with us because that’s what I use in the casino. I’ll just order them from the bank before we go.

Good Morning!
Although I usually buy my foreign currency ahead of time, I was wondering if you can buy (exchange) foreign currency on board ship. We will be travelling to Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. We would only want a small amount of each. Thanks for your responses.

Hi,
My husband and I will be on the Millennium on January 18, round trip Singapore, with two stops in Vietnam. We are Canadian and I know that we need a Visa. I’ve read about a “loose leaf” visa that you acquire at the port when you arrive in Vietnam. How does Celebrity handle this if you are taking ships excursions? Thanks for your help.

I don’t have a problem with the curtains, I have a problem with the light coming from the hallway under the door and from the nightlight in the bathroom. I use the extra pillows from the bed and sofa to block it.

Each January I look forward to the World Cruise thread written by Bill and Mary Ann. It usually starts around now. Does anyone know if they will be on the World Cruisethis year? I hope they’re all right.

Pella makes windows that have a blind inside. These could be added to the panes on the bifold door. Thus, doors open and you have sunlight, doors closed, darkness. This would allow someone to go out on the balcony in the early morning while their partner is still sleeping. This would be an easy fix.

I love reading your reviews. Knowing you like Bloody Marys, why don’t you try a Bloody Caesar. It was invented in Canada. It’s made with Clamato juice instead of Tomato juice. It can also be made spicy. Add a bit of horseradish if possible to give it an extra kick. Let me know how you like it.

I just tried it now. There’s a message that says, “Sorry I missed you, but I’m on a cruise right now. Here’s a number to call etc”. At least someone there has a sense of humour.

I will be sailing on the Grand to Hawaii in late February. If I buy the 600 minute internet package, will I be able to share it with my husband? I understand that only one of us will be able to be logged in at a time. Thanks.

How much does this cost? Does it happen on all the ships? I will be on the Grand in March. This would be a nice way to celebrate my birthday.

Actually it is worse. In part because we are talking about a foodservice professional who should, but obviously doesn't know better and who potentially handles food consumed by everyone aboard. It is also a health code violation in most jurisdictions. The reason for this is the small chance of transmitting Campylobacter or Salmonella. https://www.cdc.gov/foodsafety/diseases/campylobacter/index.html, https://www.cdc.gov/salmonella/index.html.
I would have refused the offering had I observed a cook handling raw chicken then touching any part of my sandwich.
I don't understand why none of you who saw this happen didn't ask the cook to change his gloves and give you a fresh bun/ burger etc. I would have.

The ports you will be visiting in Canada are most likely major cities. Why would you think the coverage would be any different than what you would have in any large American city? We are a very modern nation.

There are 20 locations in Victoria. Just Google Tim Horton locations and if you know the address of the port you should be able to find one near there. I don't see a problem bringing them back to the ship.

Thank you for a great review. My daughter and I really enjoyed meeting you and Edward at the Molecular Bar. Chairul is amazing as is Johnny and we loved ending our evenings with the fun group of "regulars".

I was having the same problem and called Celebrity Captain's Club today. The Rep was really helpful. She said the problem seems to be when you try to access your cruise from My Celebrity. She said to enter via the Already Booked tab on the main page. From there you go to Cruise Planner and there will be a link at the top of the page To Online Check In. It worked for me.

Elevators on the Aft of the ship, like on the M-Class...not like on the S-Class where if you're in the back of the ship you have to walk to mid-ship just to catch the elevation ..What were they thinking???
If you have mobility issues, that is a problem, but think of all the calories you burn up with the extra walking. This leaves room to continue to indulge. 😃😃

I enjoyed the hot dogs so much that I asked the F & B Mgr who made them, he took me to the Head Chef who said that the hot dogs where Nathans.
It's so nice of Nathan to share. They are delicious.

Not the same issue, but I completed my online check in some time ago. Now i says my xpresspass isn't available and I haven't filled out all the personal information. I have, multiple times, and it still says not available. Frustrating.
Also having issues with linking reservations online. I had two other cabins linked to my reservation and then they just disappeared. Now, it says both reservations are not available to link. Truly bizarre.
I had the same problem trying to do our express passes for our March 1st cruise. I finally called the help number and somehow they solved the problem.

On another thread about the chocolates, Celebrity posted how much $$$'s in waste there was (it was thousands of pounds of chocolate a year that had to be thrown out) , because so many didn't eat them. Unfortunately, once the chocolates are put out they can not be collected and used again and must be thrown out.
If I remember correctly, you have to fill out a form daily asking if you want the canapés delivered and at what time. Couldn't they also ask if you would like the pillow chocolates on the same form? I used to save them up and bring them home to savour at a later date.

How easy is it to get a taxi at the port to take us to the Sannomiya Mall? Do taxis take Visa or is it cash only? Thanks
