Getting ready to book our next cruise on the Harmony...

we normally have an oceanview balcony on past cruises on Allure and other ships.  We’re seeing great deals on Central Park balconies...which would you prefer, if you had a choice?

My husband & I are in the beginning stages of planning our trip to Munich in 2018 to celebrate Oktoberfest. This is our first trip to Germany and would like to make our most of our vacation. I was thinking of also tying in a river cruise on the Dunabe (being the closest river to Munich) to take in as much of that region of Germany & surrounding countries as possible.

Is this even doable? What cruise lines should I begin to research? We've only taken ocean cruises and I know river cruises are quite different, I just don't know where to start.

Yes. We used it last week on the Allure. Same deal.

So awesome!!! We're bringing ours from a previous Allure cruise...so glad to hear others do this AND you get the same deal! :D

Thanks for the thoughtful response. We're platinum and we will use the coupons there. We'll likely do just what you described.

 

Trying to figure out whether or not to bother with a wine package. Enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner once or twice but (once or twice) will also like it in this environment (where I understand you can't use your wine package wines). I think we'll wing it a bit.

Same for us...used the coupon in our coupon book (also Platinum members) and enjoyed some really nice wine and the tapas was great.

Thanks everyone!! We're definitely going to use Park n Go after hearing your recommendations! Even though my in-laws are only in their 60's, I don't want to take the chance of having them lug their luggage through the parking garage...would rather just be dropped off and start our cruise vacation off right. This is their first cruise in 30 years...so we want to be sure everything is as perfect as it can be! :)

I have been researching Park N Go which is not right at the port. But I am curious what others reply.

I'm going to look into Park N Go too! I take it that it's like remote parking at any airport, but they transport you to/from the cruise port? And I bet for alot less $$ too!

We're going on the Allure (again :D) next month with my in-laws. They are driving down (picking us up at the airport) and parking at Port Everglades.

I've read on the Port Everglades website that parking for the Allure of the Seas is at Terminal 18.

Anyone have any advise/tips they'd like to share on parking at the Port?

We've always flown in, and either taxied it or hotel shuttled it over to the Port, and have no clue as to what to expect with parking there.

Just got back from May 6th sailing yesterday, she is fantastic (was also on naming cruise on 30th April). We are back for 2 more weeks on 6th September so I will make sure she is ready for you to get on the day we get off! :D

DH & I are going on the IOS for its 8-night Eastern Caribbean sailing on 2/21/09. And I'm now addicted to researching the IOS!! Glad I found this thread!
