We were on the 8/4 sailing. I believe my time dining opened at 6:45 pm. We had 7 pm or 7:30 pm reservations depending on the night. The lines were no less than 10 minutes waiting. There should no wait for reservations. It seemed that the check in system they have is very unorganized each evening. We prefer traditional dining but the times are either too early or late. Wish they would start my time dining at 6 pm

We did the train a number of years ago. It was a major cost saving and just another part of the adventure. Would definitely do it again.

We sailed in a junior suite on the empress a couple of years ago. That suite was much smaller than a regular balcony on other ships.

Other than the perks of double C&A points, I wouldn’t do it again. The JS is smaller than a regular balcony cabin. Unless you get an awesome price, I wouldn’t do it. We got a great price on a 5-day cruise and those points put us up to diamond.

The only itinerary to the Caribbean worth going on from Baltimore is the 12 day. The 7 day itineraries are horrible. Would rather fly to Florida and get a decent 7 day itinerary.

40-50 minutes.
Time for a drink and a walk. Only the first and last stop have room to walk far. Coconuts (2nd stop) has interesting things to look at and great views!
If you want to order food it should be done as soon as you arrive at a bar to give time for preparing and eating, and remember all purchases are cash only.

you needing to see simple declarative sentences as condescending is something you're going to have to deal with. Perhaps you'll divert your focus from going out to the cayes to the old Heritage Center which is just minutes outside of Belize City. The trick here is to focus on the information that actually works for you.
You do come off as condescending. Fortunately we can avoid your posts by skipping over them. This is supposed to be a way to share information, and not have attitudes when someone a asks questions because they aren’t as savvy about cruising and the ports.

than you arent going to CC as there is no air service at the moment. Fly out to Ambergris Caye and have more time in the water.
You are the most obnoxious person on these boards. Can you answer anyone without an attitude?

Everyone is quick to complain when itineraries change or ports are deleted, etc. during hurricane season, but they didn't have any problem accepting a much lower fare to sail during that time. Knowing things can happen during hurricane season, either don't purchase a cruise during that time if you are going to complain, or go prepared for changes. Most people don't know it but you are supposed to carry your meds with the original label when you travel, so why not just bring your container then you should have plenty of meds - that is what I do. All of the cruises are taking a tremendous hit to their bottom line with all of the cruises that have been canceled. Royal and some other ones are participating in humanitarian efforts following these hurricanes. Go Royal!

Have you been successful since the rules changed last summer? We've been stopped for a bottle of water we forgot in our hand carry.
Yes, we cruised this past March with no problems.

I am also a diehard Coke fan. I have always brought a 12 pack on board on embarkation and sometimes from ports. Never had it confiscated.

You really don't have masses of college kids on a cruise. You have to be a certain age to cruise without parents or "real" adults...and college kids generally can't afford a week long trip. You will find lots of families with kids whenever schools aren't in session....but the overall number of passengers is finite....so you won't be overwhelmed. No worries!
We were on a 5-day Empress cruise the first week of March 2017 and over 80% of the passengers were college students - couldn't get near any bar or the sun deck/pool the entire time. The kids were nice and not crazy drunk but we are in our 60s and had no previous knowledge the cruise was marketed specifically to colleges. I must say, though, the kids were the best dressers in the dining room.

I find it hard to believe it is because of safety as Royal Caribbean goes to Jamaica and that has to be one of the most unsafe islands in the Caribbean.

I would not stay in a Central Park balcony. It is very warm and stuffy in that area. Maybe book a Central Park balcony and keep checking prices. We have booked a boardwalk balcony twice and have been able to get an ocean view balcony both times without any extra cost.

So it appears the RCCL does not go to or shall I say through the Panama Canal. Does anybody out there know for sure.
We ended up cruising on Princess in 2015 (although we were RCCL Emerald) to do the 10 day partial transit through the Panama Canal. It is the only Princess cruise that I have taken, but they do a great job. We wanted to do that itinerary, so we went to a cruise line that provided that itinerary. We could have been Diamond much sooner had we been able to do this 10 day cruise on RCCL.

Yes, you can book shows even though you have not made final payment (I just did it a couple of weeks ago and my final payment isn't due until early July).
The comedy show can be/should be reserved ahead of time just like the ice show, broadway show, etc. In fact, the comedy shows always have long lines for each show of people trying to get in that couldn't or didn't reserve ahead of time.

Sonny Binns
in Aruba
We have booked a tour with Sonny for a couple weeks from now. Does anyone know what time his tours starts? We don't dock until 1:00.I sent him an email asking his this and instead of an answer, I got another conformation. I have actually gotten 4 or 5 conformations from him in the last couple weeks but none of them have specific information. The emails were all the same:
Thank you for your email!
I will be able to accommodate your party of 2 on the tour scheduled for August 12th.
The places of interest that we will be visiting are the Lighthouse, Alto Vista Chapel, Natural Bridge and the Rock Formations.
There will be other photo opportunities along the way, including the beautiful coastline.
The tour is 3 hours long and the cost is US$30.00 per person.
Thank you,
Sonny Binns
We are in Aruba in September from 1-10 pm. We are taking his tour and he said it begins at 1:30 pm.

There are multiple dining rooms on adventure so not sure why one is not my time dining starting at 5:30 or 6 and the other level for traditional dining they could do at 5:30 and 7:30.
