I've seen it on Monarch, Majesty, and Enchantment, but not on Oasis and Allure.
Boarding Oasis tomorrow and if this doesn't happen I know my DD20 wont be too happy! I may be since it means the ZZZzzzsss start a little earlier!

And the price is dependent on what you are getting. IIRC, the price range is $2-$4 per plate, depending on the dish plus various combinations that cost up to $13 for 8 dishes.
(I never take pictures of the menus, but http://www.cruisewithgambee.com/royal-caribbean-menu/ if this is the menu you have seen- look at the tab on the edge of each page- that's the price of that page)
And I'm 100% with the previous poster that one can make a great meal out of them.
One of our favorite dinners was sitting out in Central Park (inside the vintages area) having some tapas and wine. Very nice.
if this is still current you can get a good idea of what Vintages offers for a tapas menu!

Check out this thread: not from 2017, but will give you an idea. Because my laptop os old and all the stupid ads, I am not patient enough for the pictures to load on photobucket to zoom in to read it clearly, but it appears that the tapas are listed along with the wines. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2352298
If you click on the link for the review, there are also pictures. But again, not 2017 but you'll get the idea.
Thanks!

Sailing next week on Oasis and I have been trying to find a menu for Vintages that lists the Tapas that are available. No luck - all I can find are the wine lists. Can anyone provide a brief summary of what they offer or better yet point me in the right direction to find a menu.
-
Same thing as they do all week. Burgers, hot dogs and nachos. Probably a few other things as well but it is a limited menu.
Recent cruise compasses for Eastern Oasis were just posted on that other site we can't mention. Wipe Out and Park Cafe both open on the embarkation day along with a lot of other choices.

Odd, pretty sure JS was allowed in this past December. It became official when Royal Suite Class was implemented.
Dinner only. Not all day access that above JS plus Pinnacles have for breakfast, lunch, etc.

We almost always eat in Coastal Kitchen the first night because of the filet. As far as quality, we are always happy...however, neither of us are demanding. You should also eat in CK on the second formal night because the lobster is good...we like their recipe.
We will be on board with you.
Lunch (probably a buffet) is good the first day in CK. It makes for a calm beginning of the cruise.
Gil and Gail
The votes are in and I have cancelled FNDR and will go with CK! Thanks to everyone who supplied input. Hope to see you in CK Gil and Gail.

Good question.
How much of a filet-mignon-lover are you?
*I* would eat in CK the first night. You will have to choose for yourself. ;) Free still beats $15.
A good fillet beats $15 every time. Given a few thumbs up on CK fillet I will be cancelling FNDR in a heartbeat.

We are in a Suite for 8-20-17 Oasis sailing and have reserved FNDR. It seems Coastal Kitchen has the fillet only on the first night. Should I cancel FNDR and take advantage of Coastal fillet? Looking for advice from seasoned RCI cruisers!

And I'll never understand how some people do not get that the cruising community here cares about other cruisers and maybe just maybe believe in the power of prayer.
Some post nasty comments just for affirmation of their unimportant opinions. They want others to approve of their bad manners as justification of same....beats me:rolleyes:
Compassion seems to be a very absent virtue these days.........
AGREED!!! :hearteyes::hearteyes:

We are an hour and 15 minutes away from Port! Traveling with hubby and two daughters (9 as of two days ago and an 11 month old). Will do trip report when I get back. Any questions I can get answered while on the ship I'm happy to try. Any last minute tips? Still haven't decided which restaurant to try tonight with our FNDR. Suggestions?

Leaving in 2 weeks! Let everyone know what you decide and how it is for FNDR. We also have reservations for FNDR and can't decide where we would like to eat.

Forget about port Canaveral and Orlando excursions! Find the best cruise excursions and go for it! We are sailing Aug 20th and have awesome excursions lined up for St Thomas and St Martin based on Trip Advisor recommendations. Oooppps...not sure if I can mention Trip Advisor.......

One thing I wonder, when the ship docks on the port side, where do people enter on the Promenade deck? It looks like the normal entrances on the starboard side are by Sorrentos and Champagne Bar.
That's awesome! I'll be on the previous sailing (8/13) in a Crown Loft Suite, and I'm doing the exact same thing with my wife (and 2 kids)! Still trying to figure out how to keep the surprise going until we get up to deck 17, looks like it's going to be a challenge keeping the cat in the bag at the terminal... ("Honey, why are we going through this door? This is only for people in suites, we aren't supposed to be here...") :D
if you come up with any good cover story....let me know. I don't know what we will tell my wife when we enter the "suites entrance":-)

I don't recall getting a welcome email after booking and we stay in GS typically. We do get a letter from the Concierge about 4-8 days out from the cruise.

we are in a Crown Loft Suite on Aug 20th sailing of OS and did not get a welcome email. I will let everyone know if we get a letter/email 4-8 days out.

Nose in adds about 25 minutes to the time it takes to get to open water. Here she goes tonight.

3 Weeks from today for the Total Eclipse Cruise......Can't wait. First time on Royal after 2 Carnival and 1 Disney cruise. Went all out and are sailing in a Crown Loft Suite....which is a surprise for the wife from our 2 kids and me! Suprisingly she has asked no questions about what type of Cabin we have :confused::confused:

They have to dock to port so the starboard lifeboats can be run per USCG regulation.
understood - thanks for the info MedicKenK.

Oasis class ships normaly dock on the starboard side. There are a number of reasons why she might be docked on the port side. Some sort of maintenance, Captain's preference this morning, etc.
Thanks Bob - makes sense that there could be a lot of reasons.
-
The last number of times checking Port Canaveral Web Cam on Sundays, the OS was docked on the starboard side. Today she is docked on port side. Does she do this periodically or is this an anomaly? If so, does anyone know why?
-
Is the Solarium now a complimentary selection for dinner aboard the Oasis? Has anyone had dinner there? If so, was the food and service good compared to the MDR?
I booked on Cruise Planner for our Aug 20th sailing and it was complimentary.

I have to say, I agree with everyone else who is stating 'move on with your life and don't bother clicking on the topic if you're so bothered with the fact it's posted here on the RCI forum (or posted at all?!)'...I appreciate that it was posted, I wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
Very sad situation.
ditto^

Worry about them getting better, not whether anyone else had it.

Hi John,
Sorry this is off topic but I saw a post of yours mentioning the Red theme night on Allure of the Seas. Do they consistently have it if you know. Also assuming it is what the name implies.
