  1. Hello! We will be celebrating my daughter's graduation and husband's birthday on our April cruise. Daughter's boyfriend will be joining us on the cruise.  We are looking for 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper.  We have stayed at Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites in the past. I can't remember which one, but one of the hotels took forever to retrieve our car upon arrival. I think I would rather pay more to park at the port.  Anyone have rates on parking at port vs park and cruise.  I want to make this trip memorable and as stress free as possible, Thank you so much in advance.

Yes....My DH & DS dropped us off at the port and drove the rental to Budget and the shuttle was complimentary to take them to the port. This couldn't have been easier and we were very surprised at how quick they got back....under 1/2 hour.

This nonsense is why we stay at a cheaper rate at a hotel near MCO.  We'll be at the Embassy Suites, booked through Priceline for 130.00 and taking a private shuttle to the Mardi Gras.

How much is the shuttle? We are flying in to MCO and reserved a car for $80.  Last time we flew, the shuttle was a nightmare and left an hour late.

What would make you think that you can't get drinks on sea days and port days with a drink package? Does that make any sense?

Is there a restriction - can you use the package on sea days and port days.  I read somewhere that while you were in port you couldn't use it.

Here's a really great trip review to get you started!  You definitely will enjoy spending time reading on this board...it's part of my daily morning coffee routine.

Thanks - Seaside is one we are looking at now.

  6. Thank you all for the replies. For a little background, we are a family of 5 - planning to travel in October to the Caribbean. A little picky eaters. This will be our 8th cruise celebrating my 50th bday. I love looking at menus and food pics so I'll catch up on that. Thanks again everyone!

  7. Please tell me everything about MSC Cruises. We have only cruised Royal, Carnival and NCL. Would venture MSC, but haven't researched yet - wondering what you all have to say! TIA

  8. This balcony cabin is the first balcony cabin

there is a public deck right outside your wall. Any one can use that deck.

you cabin wall is located right next to the door.

Not many people know its there-- because you can not see the door from the hall. People tend to slam that door. If it gets to be too much-- throw a towel over the top of the door to catch it from slamming.

When people are out on the public deck-- they can see into your balcony.

You will get a lot more wind here then being further back.

the best cabin on this ship is now a scenic oceanview

FOr a first time cruiser-- i suggest moving away from the front of the ship.

Same category-- move to around the area of 7411 (will be the same price)

with being towards the back the only traveling you have to do is to the main show room at night.

this area puts you 2 decks away from the food/pools. 2 decks down for entertainment.

Did that Scenic Oceanview cabin have curtains? Beautiful cabin! What was the price of this compared to a Balcony?
