  1. These responses that excuse the Security guards behavior are troubling. Since when is it okay to literally & figuratively kick a man while he is down? It is evident that either they haven't received training on how to handle these situations or they let their personal feelings get in the way of professionalism. Either way...it is a very bad look for Carnival. Someone has to remain professional & exhibit judgement above that of passengers.

When he's down ontop on another person he does.

  2. Many thanks DLSHS_Mom. I am in F307 in June, so take care of it :)

Couple more questions if I may, what is the steward like, does he/she only have those suites to look after? and for muster drill can you directly to the lower part of the theatre from there or do you have to go upstairs?

    Thanks again.

Grand Sailing March 24, the Muster Station for WS's were in the Crown Grill and Leaves.

There are a few steps up to the Princess theatre from Fiesta Deck.

  3. Thanks for doing this, did you or anyone who has cruised in a WS noticed noise from walkers/runners on promenade deck above? Viewed the WS suites on the Grand and very impressed! We did not smell any smoke in the hallway from the casino and it was in the atrium.

At night you will hear what sounds like cows in high heels. If you don't go to sleep early, prob. won't hear it.

In the morning we have been awakend anywhere from 5:15 on from workers cleaning the deck and banging against the railing with tools. Each time several of us in the WS have complained. You would think by now it would be common sense to start the cleaning on the promenade on the opposite side of the ship, but again we had the same problem. This has happened on all 3 of the ships with the WS.

  4. I, for one, thank God every day for the ability to do everything online. In fact, we have done this since our Star Princess cruise in 2002. it was new, then. But on our first 'modern day' cruise,on Royal Princess in 1999, two weeks before cruising, we had no docs. Nothing in the mail. Our TA was frantically calling CA/Princess about it. Seems they were having trouble with their printers and couldn't print out airline tickets...eTickets were very new then. We finally got our docs by FedEx TWO (2) days before we were to fly to Buenos Aires to board the ship! Thank goodness for the internet...we will never have to go through that again! EM

I Agree, we use to have to drive to Denver and Princess and the Travel Agency were arguing who was at fault. We needed to leave on a Monday morning to drive over the Pass and fly out on a Tuesday. On the Thursday before both were saying the Fed EX'd the packet with air tickets overnight. At that time overnight was not guarenteed to Grand Junction(or the rest of the Western Slope) they said well if not Friday you'll get it Monday. I told them we couldn't wait around all day Monday for a delivery that may come. Well late that Friday afternoon we finally got the packet. Now we don't have to worry about that.:D If we don't have our documents it is our own fault.

  5. Not co-ed but inside the respective locker rooms. Bring your cruise card as I noticed a card reader needed to be used to access the locker rooms on our last trip - not sure why they did this. Steam room is the best. I'm good for at least two per day! :D I leave the cabin bath for my DW and take all my showers up there too!

maybe so they know someone is in there. On one cruise an older women fell asleep in the sauna and supposedly got burned or something. Sometimes in those saunas and steamrooms off the lockerrooms, there is noone around. So if you are missing they could find you.

  6. We did basically B2B2B cruises in January, and traded items on our first and second cruises, but by the third cruise, we had so much left over (and we alway get the soda stickers too) that we decided to try to exchange the entire mini bar for a bottle of wine. This was on the Crown, and we were told it was not an option.

It's a good idea to always take copies of the printouts from the Princess site that tells your benefits. This was in one of the newsletters too.

  7. Wish I could trade the mini-bottles for Scotch.. :(:(

Yes, we would love to have some The Glenlivet to sip.

I would never complain about a gift! However I do fell that each elite member should get a setup and not 1 per cabin.

Good idea, then we would never have to leave the cabin.:D

I wonder why they don't have mini rum bottles.

We were dining at lunch on embarkation day with a couple that complained they wouldn't let them trade all the booze for the brandy. Well with all the complaining, I said "We always exchange the brandy and if you'd like we could exchange with you and then we could exchange what else we wanted with room service." Well then they acted like it was no bid deal and acted real strange to us. We were just trying to be helpful.

  8. I completely agree. We really enjoyed the lounge, far more than I had anticipated. We didn't always buy the drink of the day; in fact, we used our soda stickers for sodas more often than not, but the setting, the hors doerves and the conversations with fellow cruisers were the best parts.

BTW...it was nice on the Ruby but incredible on the Crown. They offered ship-made whole wheat crackers that I would have liked to sneak home in my suitcase.

On the Golden and Sapphire this past year they were checking room cards for the Cocktail Hour, and were not letting in everyone else. The other side of Skywalkers was open for others to enjoy. It is just a nice, quiet area to chill out and enjoy conversation and views. Lately we haven't been buying as many drinks in the lounges, as they have the music cranked up so loud that you just can't enjoy it.

  9. Does anyone know if the pub lunch is available on the Sapphire Princess for the Mexican Riviera Cruise?

Also, is it included or are the pub lunches the extra charge meals? Thanks for any help you can give me on this.:)

Yes they have it in one of the diningrooms. On our 7 day it was only on 1 sea day. But keep your eyes peeled for it on the patter.

I like eating in a diningroom instead of in a lounge, unless it is finger food.

  10. Duffys building was sold and the owner decided to pack it in.

Buckhorn Exchange is the restaurant and its still there, I think it the oldest place in Colo?

Think the place on I-70 is closed now, I think it was at the Evergreen exit.

    Memories!

I believe this is the El Rancho rest. This is just off I-70 Here's a link to menu.

Buckhorn Exchange has Liquor License #1 from early day in Colo.

Morrison is where "THE FORT" is in Morrison and also has wild game including buffalo. This is south of I-70 near hwy 285 located on hwy 8.

  11. Well after all this hoopla about Tim Tams Target had them for $2.50 a box and we bought a box. Tried them and didn't think they were that great. Reminded me of those waffle weave wafer cookies that are like a sandwich with a creamish filling only Tim Tams were then covered with Chocolate(the ones we bought). Give me my Reese's Peanut butter cups over these any day.

  12. I found this article. Seems like they were here, and now they're gone.

    NORWALK, Conn.--(Business Wire)--

This past fall, Pepperidge Farm introduced American consumers to the Tim Tam

cookie, an iconic and delectable Australian `biscuit` made by bakers at

Arnott`s, a sister company. Made available exclusively at Target stores

beginning in November 2008, Tim Tam cookies quickly flew off shelves nationwide,

as consumers clamored to stock up before the limited release ended in March

    2009.

I know about that time Target was advertising they had them for a limited time.
