  1. If you can manage to get on the ship early, or debark late, it's worth seeing if this room is propped open.

Just walking into it's magnificence convinced me to try and book it for next year.

I had to walk the guy from the future cruise desk on the process of booking this room, and had to do the same to a travel agent 2 years ago.

Even if you are unsure, it's worth depositing.

    Good luck !

How do you book this room? What do I need to tell the future cruise desk? Thanks so much

  2. I too have just about every reward card out there.

Like another poster ... the SW Reward card doesn't do me much good for 2 reasons (1) we rarely fly and (2) SW doesn't go most of where we do fly. I rarely use that card.

I do have other cards, which I use depending on the rewards offered ... absolutely LOVE my Chase Amazon Visa ... shop amazon like crazy ... it's very beneficial. Don't use it for anything else.

I have the CWMC and have commented on a few past threads for it. NEVER paid interest ... no annual fee ... use it for almost everything! Dbl pts for everything carnival (from paying for cruises, S&S account, shore excursions, etc). I also pay regular monthly bills w/ it that I would pay otherwise using our debit card or check. Redeem a lot of points for statement credits which I have turned around and rebook carnival for another dbl pts. Personally, I like the card and have redeemed 100,000+ points in a year. You can also redeem points for onboard stuff that is cheaper than paying for it out of pocket. Example - we used points to pay for gratuities on our upcoming cruise for 8 days. The gratuities paid out of pocket were $122.50 PP ... OR 9,600 points ($96.00) PP, obviously a better deal.

Recently used our AmEx cards for the $500 payment w/ $100 statement credit. Paid $1500 of cruise payments for $1200 ... can't beat that w/ a stick!

They key really is working the rewards for whatever card for your benefit.

I just got this card. How do I redeem points for the gratuities? thanks!

  3. There is no possible way to book an accessible cabin online with Carnival. Ive tried, Ive called and asked and really wish there was a way. I would LOVE to know how you are doing it

I have done it before with the 4J category room. It was the last room in that category available. Carnival ended up calling me a few weeks before the cruise and asked if they could move me. I said sure and they moved me to a balcony for free!

its hard to catch the 4J HCs as they release them randomly. Prob best bet is to call.

  4. For everyone who is having trouble getting the giftcards from Verizon or AARP, I found great luck from Allstate's Rewards program (and no, you don't need to be a member of their insurance to get the giftcards). I was able to get the giftcards same day and even have them emailed to me for immediate use! I used the giftcards to purchase the Cheers program.

How do I do this? I tried signing up for their reward program but it required a policy number, Thanks!

ETA: nevermind I figured it out!

  5. Mine was a Sottero & Midgley. It is not beachy AT ALL with all the beading, but I just love my bling!! :D

I decided that we need to do an anniversary cruise in a few more years just so I can wear it again for a vow renewal haha!

Beautiful! Where did you get married?

  6. Our vow renewal is in July and I've finally got my dress! I found "The One" at Alfred Angelo but it was $900. Luckily, I was able to order a replica (without the beadwork) from aliexpress for $80 shipped!

How did your replica turn out? Link? i LOVE this dress but was thinking of buying used bc i dont want to pay $900 for it! Thanks!

  7. So we are considering doing a beach ceremony as we both really want to have our feet in the sand and love the beach and ocean so much. It will just be the two of us (second marriages for both).

Since it will be just us...I am trying to imagine how the day would go. If we go for an earlier wedding...what did you do afterwards? go to the beach? Excursion? Relax? Back on the boat? If you could share your experiences that would be great! I know we want to spend some time afterwards getting pictures done but just not sure after (I will have my hair done up but have a simple dress).

    Thanks!
