FYI    Carnival Corp CEO is going to be on CNBC at 4 pm today.

Celebrity only has cancellations until May 11 for Europe sailings.  I'm booked for June 12th.. waiting to see if they will cancel. 

How long before they Cancel Celebrity June cruises?   I have a cruise June 12th that I paid in full.   I'm waiting to see if they cancel because I really need a REFUND not a CREDIT.

What does your TA contract say about cancellation fees.? Seems very out of line. Can you speak to the agency owner?

 

Can you transfer to a later date without paying the fee? ( how much is the deposit you will lose?)  If you  postpone, maybe  pick a far out date and find a way to dump your TA.

I called Celebrity and they said if they cancel we get 100% refund.  I can re-book another cruise if I choose.  TA said $250 cancellation fee per person. Thats $500 for me.  She emailed me this.  It does not state a $ amount in the invoice she sent me just that there is a cancellation fee.   If I choose to re-book next year I will cancel and never use her again. 

I'm booked on the Celebrity Best of Italy and Malta cruise June 12th.  I have booked a hotel in Rome for June 11th.   I paid in full already but the final payment date is March 14th.   I don't know what to do.  I will lose my deposit but can be credited for another cruise.  My TA, who was handed the cruise since I booked it and transferred to her, wants to charge me $500 to cancel.  I will never use her again.  She did absolutely nothing.  I'm torn because this could all disappear with flu season once the weather warms up.   It our 25th Wedding Anniversary so postponing til next summer kind of takes the excitement away.  Not sure what to do.  I will see what transpires within the next week. 

What is the best air tracking site?   I booked my flight with Air France out of my local International Airport when most leave out of Miami.   I saved myself a 2 hour drive right there and got the flight for $1099 round trip which I think is a decent price.  I booked this through Celebrity air.   I want to monitor this fare.  I have looked a few times already and the fare is up to $1400 round trip but I would like to put an alert on it if possible.  What is the best way to do this?

Thank You everyone for your replies.  I received a Capital One Quicksilver and Venture in the mail with some sweet offerings in terms of points and such.  I just didn't know if these would be OK if a pin was needed.  I see now that it won't be an issue.

I have Celebrity Cruise to Italy booked for June 2020 and am researching the best credit card with no Foreign transaction fees.  Can anyone suggest a card they have used that was accepted everywhere with traveling perks.  Also, in my research I am discovering most US credit cards are chip and sign where in Europe it is chip and pin.  Is it necessary to have a PIN and if so, which card has this capability? 

Thank you so much for the hotel and taxi recommendation.  I'm going to look them up.  Now I just have to book and coordinate my flight so that I can get the most of my day before the cruise.  🙂

PS try to get up early and you can sit right at the Trevi with no crowds.  We do that at least one morning each trip. I always get there by 7 am and you can enjoy the sound of the water with very few if any other tourists

Thank you so much for this advise.  I am going to look up the hotel and thanks for  the recommendation for getting to the port.  Now I just have to coordinate and book my flight so that I can get the most time the day we fly in.

I am having the same dilemma.  I'm on a Celebrity Constellation cruise leaving June 12, 2020 and I have been looking at airfare on Celebrity flights.   There is a great direct flight from Alitalia for $1099 round trip flying into Rome and leaving out of Venice from Miami.   Problem is there are very few flights listed from Venice on June 22 and the few they have posted are 11:20 in the morning.  I'm trying to figure out how much time is needed  and how I get from the Cruise ship to Venice airport.  I dont think I want to leave that early in the morning.   I thought the $1099 was a pretty good price for direct to Rome.  I am flying out on June 10th as I want to spend June 11th near the Trevi fountain to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary.  I was engaged at the Trevi fountain.   I'm really struggling deciding when the best time to book is and trying to coordinate all the logistics.  UGH, 

I would love to fly in a few days early but my husband only has a limited amount of vacation days.  We were going to travel the 6/10 arriving early morning of 6/11.  Cruise leaves 6/12.  This time Im taking something to sleep on the plane.

I booked the Best of Italy Cruise on the Celebrity Constellation for June 2020 and I'm very confused about committing to a flight this early and if the best flights are out yet this far in advance. Celebrity called me and are giving me some options from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami but the flights, layovers and prices are not the best.  In addition I am flying in one day early to Rome the day before the cruise.   Can anyone give me some advise on how they got the best price for air travel?   Also,  the TA I spoke to said it was in my best interest to book the flights through the cruise line.  I'm not sure if it is beneficial to use a TA to coordinate and get me the best price.   I have read on the board that some transfer there booking to an online travel agent for better incentives.  Can anyone direct me to a TA that will do that for me and help coordinate this trip? 

I booked the Best of Italy cruise through Celebrity for next June.   My husband and I were engaged at the Trevi fountain and we are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary.  We decided to fly into Rome a day early and stay at a hotel near the Trevi fountain.  I'm not sure which hotel is good and also need to get to the Port the next day.   I heard some of the hotels offer a shuttle service.  Is this true?  If so, which hotels include this service.  I have't been to Europe in 26 years.  HELP. 

Does anyone know if this is where Carnival does the Surf Lesson excursion? I am trying to narrow down the resort so i can spend the day while my son and his friend surf. Carnival is just telling me Isla Verde. ??? Looks like there are a lot of Isla Verde's on the map. Does anyone know? The ship is selling just chairs and umbrella for the day for $37.00pp. I'm thinking it may be cheaper for us to book on our own and just book the Surfing excursions through the ship. Any advise?

Which Hotel do they do this at? I just want to get passes for the day for my husband and I?

I am sailing on the Glory May 30th. My 18 year old son and his friend want to do the surf lessons excursion. My husband and I do not. I don't feel comfortable leaving them alone and just wanted to sit on the beach and watch them. Does anyone know which resort and beach they do this excursion at? There is no mention of where it is and Carnival doesn't seem to want to disclose ??? i do not want to book another 2 for me and my husband at $90 if we are not surfing. I was thinking maybe there is a day pass at the resort so we can just sit and watch them.
