  1. Thank you. I go in for surgery next week to remove a pesky tumor on my liver that keeps growing but I'll have my husband watching for it. I'll try and get a nice pic once I'm feeling better. :)

Wishing you all the best with your surgery. I have a beautiful long dress that was given to me by one of the ladies, but unfortunately because my breasts were removed, and they are sooo much smaller now, I can no longer wear it. It was only worn once by myself. I will be happy to send to you, and please do not worry about reimbursing me. Let me know.

Keeping you in my thoughts and hope everything works out for you.

  2. Way to go Shorbr!!! I give you ladies credit. I take a low dose of chemo for an autoimmune disease and I am so tired afterwards. I really don't know how you do it but I sure am glad you do.

Marie, I haven't kept up with this thread, or any for that matter, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well and so sad that 3 crew died onboard.

I have a cruise coming up so I will be going thru my closet to purge. Let me know if there are an puffy ladies out there interested. I have 2x-3x (some 1x too). Cruises are the only way I will purge. most stuff goes to GW but the dresses I usually donate to the woman's shelter (for job interviews) but they said they have enough right now. My DD might have a few things also.

Chemo wipes you out, and you are still recuperating 10 years later. But I feel relatively well and want to enjoy myself as much as my health allows me. I love cruising so much and hopefully will be planning another one soon.

Wishing you also the best of health and hope that you continue to do well also :)

  3. Men may know nothing about fashion, but most are experts at knowing what looks good on a woman. If my husband said something was unflattering (once I had the garment on), I would respect his judgement. On the rare occasion in which I strongly disagreed, I would seek the opinion of another woman whose taste I admired- someone I could trust to give me a brutally honest answer.

My sentiments exactly. I always value his opinion and poor hubby was trying to say it as nice as he could. So the dress will be returned and I found something else from Nordstrom which is much more flattering. Will post a picture of it soon.
