I am hearing impaired and would like to know what headphones can I connect to the TV on the Ruby Princess. What have you used that worked successfully.
Thank you.

DW and I would like to take a cruise. Functional internet service is very important to us. Other cruise lines like Princess and Celebrity are experiencing extremely poor service. Passengers say the internet is very slow and that they have a lot of trouble both sending and receiving emails. Just wondering if these problems are particular to the individual cruise lines or if they are industry wide. So how is the service on NCL?
-
Maybe on new ships or retrofitted to old ships, Princess might consider escalators.

How many people will be allowed in the elevator at one time? I'm not looking forward to climbing up several flights of stairs to get to the buffet!

Where did you read it?

Yoplait yogurt!
-
Can I bring my own yogurt on board? I really like having it for breakfast, but I just don't like the Upstate brand that they have in the buffet.

Anyone know the actual cell phone tower charge on Holland?
-
As I said in the original question, I am not interested in wifi.
-
Any recommendations for a sim card to use in an unlocked phone that will work at sea? Please, not interested in wifi, only cell phone service.

FYI we did talk to the cabin steward. That's how it was on the Jewel. I don't really care about what happened on the Jade.
-
We were on the Jewel last November. The towel animals were made from our towel allotment. So we would only had one clean bath towel for the two of us per day!
-
I tell the steward not to make any towel animals. Call me a germ phobe, but I don't want the towels that will need to use all man handled.

A couple of questions. How much time do you get to spend on the cay? Is the UBP
good there?

Never cruised on Carnival before. Just wondering if they ever have any free drink promotions like some of the other cruise lines?
-
Anyone know of any Princess cruise or, for that matter, any cruise line that will be offering a cruise to view the Aug 21, 2017 solar eclipse?
-
Thank you all for your input. We have booked a flight from LAX at 2:20PM.

Would like to book a noon flight from Lax after arrival at San Pedro. Is this pushing it?

It seems that those who make the most "noise" about what is shown on MUTS get what they want. Case in point, the sport enthusiasts always want events such as football play-off games, etc. We were on the Emerald two years ago and counted a total of 12 people watching one of the play-offs on MUTS. If they were to show the Oscars I bet every seat would be taken! Just saying...
-
Has anyone stayed in this cabin and what was the noise level like? Could you hear any activity from Deck 7 below?

If I order a bottle of champagne as a gift for a passenger, will it be in the room at check in time and on ice when he arrives. If so, what if he arrives close to sail-away. Will the ice be melted?

Putterdude, you have know idea what I "obviously" care about. I've only stated what I do. I have not disparaged anyone for the choices that they make. If you are more comfortable using a TA, then go for it! As I said, "to each their own."
-
Like I said, I prefer to deal directly with the rep. Who knows better than I what my likes and dislikes are. I've had to straighten out plenty of messed up reservations from TA's. And whether it's the TA or myself, we are both talking to the same rep. I 'm as capable as any TA to transact business with them.
-
I always book directly with the cruise line. It's worth it to me to be in complete control of my booking. I never have to worry that my agent is out to lunch or sick the day I need some assistance. So call me a control freak. To each their own.
Air evacuation from ship-to-shore insurance.

On the August 15th Alaska cruise on the Ruby, a passenger with a medical emergency had to be evacuated from the ship by helicopter. My understanding is that the cost of this is around $25000. Do any insurances cover ship-to-shore transportation?
