  1. Since I didn't see Second City online, is this something I can reserve once on the ship, or is it first come, first seated?

We were not able to book on-line either. I went to the box office as soon as I got on the ship and booked all four shows they offered. It is better to have a reservation. Otherwise, there is a stand by line, but they will not let you in until about 10 minutes until start time based on availability if reservations did not show up.

  2. In the planning stages for our upcoming BA cruise (FL/Bahamas) and had a few questions regarding the shows.

Where do they perform Burn the Floor? I read about it being in the Manhattan Room, but I was not sure if that was simply a sampling.

Is the Ddysfunctional Ffamily Rreunion performed by Second City? Are the other Second City shows all the same with the exception being that one is family friendly and one adult audiences only?

Do they still have the Wine Lovers Musical?

Do you sign up for the ship tour on embarkation day or is it first come first serve?

Thanks for the help and information.

I just got off the Breakaway a week ago. Burn the floor is performed in the main theater. They so have a sampling some nights in the Manhattan dining room, but the main show is in the theater.

There were four Second City shows to choose from. One was called Totally at Sea and the other called Game Night. They also have Family Improv a few nights and Adult Improv a few nights.

Yes they did have the Wine Lovers Musical.

Also, make sure you stop in for the Howl at the Moon one night. It was great.

I am not sure about the regular ship tour. I did the platinum free behind the scene tour and it was at 10:15 am on the first sea day.

    I hope this helps.

  3. Was anyone on the Sun - 14 day South America sailing on December 31, 2016? We can only sail when college is out for my son. The options were to book a different 14 day South America sailing (which we cannot since he will be in school) or book the December 23, 2016 revised itinerary cruise. However, I don't know what this cruise itinerary consist of. I contacted my PCC today and he does not know. He said I had to call the special number for that. I am on hold on that number and have been the last hour. I cannot stay on hold too much longer since I need to leave work to go home. I have never cruised during Christmas but would consider it if the itinerary is right. I was wondering if anyone else had this option and know the itinerary for the December 23, 2016 Sun South America sailing?

  4. I just found out today that our port times for our Thanksgiving cruise in St. Thomas has changed from 8 am - 6 pm to now it will be 7 am - 3 pm. I was planning on taking a taxi to Coki beach. Now that the time is shorter, I am wondering if this is still a good plan. Are taxis readily available at 7 am? Does anyone know the cost to get to Coki beach? Are they readily available to come back. We were planning on coming back early and taking the gondola up to Paradise Point, but that may not be a choice not with losing 2 hours in port. Thanks for the help.

  5. Thank you so much for the bus information/directions. Do you know what time the first ferry to Hamilton is in the mornings?

I realize the first day is long, but hoping what I have is doable. Since we want to see the harbour lights, we really don't have a choice.

On the last day, I don't want to rush, so if we don't make the ferry, that is ok and we will just do the long bus ride back. Thanks for giving the bus/directions I need to follow.

For the snorkel, the ship leaves at 5 pm so we have to be on-board at 4:30. The place where we catch the boat to snorkel is right at the dockyard and they guaranteed we would be back by 4 pm to make the 3-5 minute walk back to the ship. I will definitely be watching the time. I was hoping they would have a morning snorkel, but do not.

  6. For general background, it will be me and my 17 year old son. While he likes the beach, usually 2-3 hours is the most he likes to stay as he starts getting bored. I am trying to plan to see as much as we can with that in mind. I have a few general transportation questions as well.

    Wednesday

8 am - Ship docks - Either get 2 day transportation pass on ship or right when I get off if not available on ship.

*Take bus 7 to Horsebay - stay 2-3 hours

*Gibbs Lighthouse (climb to top) - It looks like a little too far to walk from Horseshoe Bay. What is the best way to get there?

*Bus to Aquarium/zoo - Which bus should we take and where from the lighthouse?

*Bus to Hamilton and stay for Harbour Nights

    *Ferry back to Dockyard

    Thursday

*Catch earliest bus we can to be at the Caves at opening time 9 am - How long will caves take? I think we will do both.

*Early lunch at Swizzle Inn - How far is the walk from Caves to Swizzle Inn?

*If done with the caves too early for lunch, we will walk to Tom Moores Jungle or Blue Hole to do something while waiting.

    *Catch bus to St. George

*Take taxi to St. Catherine Fort - explore

*Walk to Tabacco Beach - stay 1-3 hours

*Walk back to St. George stopping to look at Unfinished Church

*Ferry back to Dockyard (if we make it back by 5:30 pm) or bus back

    Friday

*A little bit of shopping (my son does not like shopping so it won't be long)

*9:30 am - Maritime Museum (no more than 1 hour)

*Snorkel Park - a little beach time

*1-4 pm - Snorkel tour to Shipwrecks

Let me know if I should change or add something!
